I just signed up, and I thought this was a decent deal since I am paying a ton for just the internet FIOS and Dish network.
Here is what I got: Multiroom DVR (free for one year, normally $17 a month I think) 2nd receiver($5.99 month) HD Extreme Package(too many channels to list) Fios internet (20 down/5 up)
$87 month + taxes(not sure what these are, they told me not much though)
Not sure if this is just a Dallas area deal, but this deal was good for me since I needed a package that did not include the phone, since I only use a cell phone.
I have HD DVR 2 STB Regular channels with HD and 10/2 internet and they are charging me in excess of 150 a month!
How did you get it down or who did you talk with?

It was a door to door solicitor, they were in my neighborhood. Just call the sales # and mention the deal, it is a new deal, but they should know about it.
If they dont know about it, I can give you the # for the guy that signed me up, just PM me
Just a warning on this deal. I did a similar deal in March of this year. I have just got the bill corrected in October as they were billing for the wrong price and add ons that I did not want....be persistent and good luck.
The service is great though...fios that is.

Yes, I was afraid of that....Which is why I got the sales guy to write the total price per month at the bottom of the service order before I signed it. At least I have some proof. There is a 1 year contract, but you have 15 days to try it out and cancel if you want to
I can send you info on a the guy who gave me and my neighbor a similar deal. He is a national dealer and is giving a Cash Back rebate on the offer as well...

Please share the information of the sales person. I am in the DFW area. I will definitely be doing this. Thanks.
Is the FIOS service any good? How does it compare to DirecTv?

be careful d2d reps are known to add extras such as virus protection, games on demand, etc. u can remove it later but is a hassle. if you would like, if you know fios is available in your area. ping me. i can have a sales rep contact u instead.
I am not sure i am allowed to post the salespersons info ( i believe it violates FW policy) I will check with the moderator to see if it is ok.
If you PM me I can send to you in the interim...
By the way, He is not a d2d salesperson, rather, he is a national rep (he is the only one I found that is offering a Cash Back offer on fios services - i have run into others that sell it but they only give you the regular offers)
FYI, I called in last week and got this package no problem. It was called the "Flex" package I believe.

When I looked, set top box was another $10 per month.

They are charging me $5.99 for 1 HD multiroom DVR and 1 regular STB ( the HD multiroom is free for one year)
I set up this deal last tuesday, they hooked it up for me on thur, and I called and cofirmed with the billing department on Saturday and they told me my bill was $87 a month plus taxes....so seems to be legit deal.
Let me know if you have any questions...so far I miss my DISH because I could pause and record on both TV's, but the picture quality is good and and the price is amazing!
I just called the dude that hooked my service up and told him to expect a few fatwalleteers to be calling him, so call him anytime he said. As long as you live in the Dallas area, he can get you set up.

I just signed up for FiOS almost a month ago. can I get my plan changed? I'm paying 60/mo for only the 20/5 Internet. if I can get the FiOS TV for only $20 more then I will jump on it asap.

i dont think it nation wide just called lady was a bit of a pain =(
Any particular websites or something out there with decent nationwide promotions? or do you think calling in and asking will get you anywhere besides what is on their site? I'm in NJ and they wired up the place months ago, and now it is finally available as of just about a week ago. Something like this would be perfect, but everything I have seen is really underwhelming. Pretty much $135 before tax for 20/5 internet + HD extreme + 1std and 1HD converter box on a 2yr contract, $29.99 fee on startup and first month free. Very underwhelming.

I'm in Dallas, would you mind PM'ing me his contact number? Thanks!
as luck would have it, one of the door to door guys just came around about 30mins ago. Same offers here as well it looks like. Got the same stuff as OP for same price. HD extreme, free multiroom DVR for 1yr, 1 SD box, 20/5 internet, $100 gift card for $86/mo 12mos. This is in central NJ. Looks like the prices for the door to door people must be pretty standard, and pretty standard practice for them to come around in new areas.
After carefully reviewing the paper after he left, I noticed there is a promotional rate for HD box being $the same $5.99 as the SD boxes instead of the usual $9.99. I think I may try and get that SD box changed to an HD box if the price is all the same and doesnt cancel out the DVR promotion. The second tv is just SD tube anyways, but may as well get better stuff for the same money.....and never know when that tube might get upgraded for a cheap LCD or something....at which point I'd hate to start paying an extra $5 to swap the box when I coulda had one for the same money all along.

I wound up with one better 89 for triple play including a dvr hd box plus the cost of an extra sd box and one hd box which was fine for me but this morning I got a big problem a computer started calling my phone every 15 minutes from 7am with out any caller id info till I called at 130pm so after geting thru the first teir bank they told me they add callerless id block free for a month which forces people who block their caller ID to give it before the call can be completed which is normaly 3 dollars a month but i got it free for the month but have to call up to cancel it before the months up but for my trouble he upgraded me to HD extreme and moved mme from 2/10 to 5/20 for the rest of my contract(about 9 months) with 2 hbo and one other pay chanel which i forgot free for the next month for the same price I paying now
SPIDER4RE said: The $79-$89 offer is not nationwide, But my guy is offering a rebate of $150 when you get the triple play (alittle less if you get 2). I think that the offer IS nationwide, they are just not advertising it. A week or so ago I called to sign up for the Triple Play thingie, while chatting with the sales person I told him that I hardly ever use my phone, and would prefer to keep the copper wires and my dirt-cheap local-only plan, which is when he fessed up to the availability of the $79 plan (I am in the Northwest). I then tried to pump him for the extras advertised online with the Triple Play offer - 1 month free Internet and 1 month free Extreme HD plus $10 off your monthly bill, and he claimed that the 1 month free promo is not available with this offer, but he did add in a $10/month off on my bill. They are installing on Saturday, given Verizon's history I expect problems with my bill and having to call them multiple times. However, for that price I am willing to play ball. I was paying $90 to Comcast just for the TV, plus another $42 for Internet. This is waaay cheaper.

I just got the deal from spider4res guy. $79.99 with a home media HDDVR plus he is giving me a Cash Back rebate of $50. sweeeet!
When I got FIOS internet (5/2)- it was promotion $35/month + taxes for life. But after year and half they change price to $42/month without asking.
Is this pricing good for 12 month or ?

I just got the same deal, however I got a standard DVR AND the multiroom DVR free for a year. It's called the Verizon Flex bundle. I went to the online chat assistance and asked for it. They chat person gave me a link that contained the flex bundle.
yes i got the same deal as well 3 days ago. I went to verizon website and pulled up the package called verizon flex. go to the bundled area and create your own bundle. You'll be able to select the $79.99 for Extreme HD TV and Internet 20/5 package.
This is definitely a sweet deal imo much better than my $130/mo similar comcast payment per mo.
Order the package online as you will get 1st month free and also get DVR free for the first year. I had to call back in to order cablecards for my TiVo. they are offering it at $3.99/mo which is a ripoff compared to $1.79 from comcast.
Good luck!

I am currently paying for 20/5 internet and 1 HD box which comes out to almost $150 a month. Do you guys think I would be able to somehow get my plan switched over to this Flex package? Anyone had luck switching fios packages mid-contract? I am around 30 miles north of Dallas so hopefully the deal is good in my area.
I signed up yesterday and got $79.99 deal for a year. Got two DVR HD boxes for free for 3 months + all the movie channels free for 3 months. 20/5 internet and 283 channels. After 3 months, the service costs $99 a month.
The $79.99 is without the boxes. If you do not have HD and get only one SD box, the cost is $84.
Not bad.

Actually the $79 does include the boxes.
I have 1 HD DVR multiroom free for 1 full year
I pay $6 month for my second regular box
The special includes a DVR free for one year, make sure you mention this....
Several people have PM me about the rebate. You can only get it through select resellers. If you have already signed up you are not eligible. If you want the contact info please PM me.
rebates: $75 for Video and internet
$100- $150 for triple play - apparently based on what extras you get...
I also called comcast and looks like they are gonna roll out new internet plans. He said something like if I call sometime next month, they'll likely upgrade my internet plan to "Ultra" for free but that's a maybe.
Awesome deal but Fios isn't available in my area yet
