This is a great deal. It was $1,918 about 20 minutes ago before rebate, and now $1,594 before rebate. Yes, we all know new systems came out, but some people don't care about a similar system with a glossy-ONLY display. Anyway, this is a great price! |
Smoking hot: Early 2008 MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz $1,444 after $150 rebate @ Amazon Archived From: Hot Deals |

How terribly confusing the Internet must be for people who can't read. This is a great deal on a great system. It's a very nice laptop for a MacBook price! |

These are $1349 on the Apple refurb site... EDIT: You also get 1% back using FW from Apple (but need to pay tax if applicable). EDIT2: Or 5% Cash Back from Discover, as mentioned below. |
I'm a big Mac fanboy (my dogs name is Macs) but beware that there may be a serious NVIDEA card failure issue with this computer. |
Red....nice computer, and a decent price, but it's only natural that the previous gen drops significantly...and I think finding them for this price is gonna be about par for the course (especially since as pointed out, you can already get a refurb from Apple for almost $100 less after rebate...$250 less before rebate). |

These lappies are on clearance at the Apple Education Store for $1399 new ($1349 for the refurbs), + tax (for some), and free shipping. No rebate hassles. In addition, Discover Card offers 5% CashBack through a link on their web site. OP, thanks for posting this, but the Amazon deal is not a smoking hot deal. It IS a great price for this laptop. Get it while you can. One more thing. Buying from the Apple Education store gets you a huge discount on Adobe software. |
exactly, new gen came out, that's why price dropped. did I say he missed it in the title...at all? bunch of dumba$$ learn to read slickdeal45 said:How terribly confusing the Internet must be for people who can't read. |
yeah...so...what? crice said:mlgbwk said:previous gen |
mlgbwk said:exactly, new gen came out, that's why price dropped. No one said that you said he "missed something" but when you add nothing and just restate what's already been stated, it's a reasonable inference that you missed it. Go troll elsewhere. |

But the new 2.4GHz MacBook Pros are $1,599 and NOT $1,399 (which would really be a smoking hot deal!)... |
