I emailed them and canceled the bed frame from my order. I read in another post somewhere that it was no where near worth the $125 on the W Hotels site even with the 40% off. I can buy a nice frame locally for a similar price and will know exactly what I am getting.

Ordered Thursday 10/16, delivered Monday 10/20. 2 business days.

Delivery people were efficient but not terribly friendly. They initially tried to charge me extra for haul-away of my old box spring and mattress, but the invoice clearly showed that haul-away was free. Pointed that out and there were no further issues.

Got plush mattress with feather bed. Very comfortable, but yes the mattress itself is somewhat firm. It does have some "give" in the top couple of inches but the core of the mattress is firm. I found it very comfortable and supportive.

Since there are two pictures of the pillow top version in the faq, does anyone have any pictures of the plush top they can share? I have heard so many conflicting stories about these beds that I am totally confused. I have called three different internet mattress stores, W Hotels and Simmons themselves to inquire about specifics and I have either gotten incorrect information, uncooperative salespeople or individuals that just didn't know what to tell me. I am most concerned about the quality of the plush model concerning coil gauge, edge casing support ,etc and noone seems to be able or willing to tell me. The coil counts are not the same as in the Simmons Classic lineup which adds to the confusion. If anyone can post pics or add some insight to any of this it would be appreciated.

I have noticed alot of fatwalleters have jumped on this deal. Anyone here bought bought the plushtop mattress last year or 6 months ago? Do you notice any sagging recently? I really like this deal, but want to make sure the plushtop wouldn't sag on me after a couple of months of use.

FYI - the 40% seems to work for almost everything else on their site too. I was tempted to buy a Michael Kors watch at 40% off, although the $16 shipping is painful.

I am in Sacramento area. So it should take 2-3 weeks for delivery. I ordered last Monday. I got a phone call from shipping compnay for delivery on Monday. So, it is exactly one week for me.

Yes.
No.

4 weeks and still no mattress. Freaking annoying. Calls to the W Hotel store customer service are useless. They promise callbacks in 24-48 hours which don't occur.

My king plush mattress arrived yesterday. The tag mentions "world class".

The foam is thick and mattress is VERY firm. I tend to think it is closer to firm if not extra firm. But it is very comfortable. One week delivery is fast, $852 shipped for Beautyrest World Class King Plush is superb deal IMO. The lowest priced World Class King I can find is from Junkmart.com for $1000 and shipping/tax are extra.

Thanks again for 40% off code.

do most people buy the bed frame or use their own? is there something special about the bed frame that makes the bed better or last longer?

I was flipping my bed and there was a big hole caused by a spring. This coupon came just in time so I ordered today over the phone, which they claim to be faster than online. I don't know if they usually charge for hauling but the nice lady claims to have waived for me.

The crazy thing is that they already scheduled a deliver for tomorrow. From the look of things, I will have my Plush Top Set in less than 24hours from the time I ordered. Thanks OP!

10/29/08 - Just got it. Next day delivery for San Francisco and $15 dollars cheaper. $600 OTD for Full Plush Set. I think it comes up only $1000 on their computers vs the $1025 that shows online.

That's interesting. I thought the W Bed was a Beautyrest Classic, not a World Class. That affects what I can reach for if I want to coax a B&M into an extreme discount on a World Class.

Look at the picture posted in FAQ. Also the number of coils indicates that it belongs to world class instead of classic.

Actually I went to a BM store. I decide not to bother to ask them to beat online price. $800 with free shipping is not possible or leaves very thin profit for them.

Good luck.

is there shipping/tax for the 3 day nyc delivery?
thx

Shipping is free (or at least included in the price) but there should be tax for purchases in New York state. They do state on the website:
- No additional charge for delivery in the continental US.

- 3 DAY delivery in NY Metro Area, San Francisco, Miami, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and DC Metro Area.

- 2 to 3 week delivery everywhere else in continental US.

Most people have had delivery take longer than the stated times.

Update: Feather bed arrived today. Ordered on 21st. First impressions are that it isn't as thick as I thought it would be. Seems decent quality. Bed has not arrived so I can't try it out yet so I'll wait till then to critique it. So far it doesn't look like it would be worth $175 plus shipping but for 40% off it might be good. I'll post more when I have tested it out.

I ordered this mattress about a year ago. It's still holding up pretty well, but I was sleeping on a very firm mattress before, so this feels a little too soft for my tastes. My wife thinks that it supports her back pretty well. I feel like I sink in some, but not sure you can call it sag, probably more just the plush part of the plush top.

I think if you are looking for a firm mattress this isn't it, it's more medium.

I bought this yesterday after first trying it @ 1800Mattress showroom. I couldn't get anybody to get their price down for a comparable mattress to a comparable level. The code still worked yesterday even though it was Nov 1.

Like most of you I hate bed shopping. So much so that I started this thread for posting good deals from BM retailers so that maybe others can get great deals at real stores. For some, the security of the retailers' 14/30/90 day exchange is very valuable.

Before pulling the trigger on one of these beds, I went to the 1-800-Mattress store in East Brunswick, NJ, but they didn't have either of the W Beds in the showroom.
They did have a Simmons World Class Pillow-Top on (clearance) display, which helped me decide against going with that model.
