thank you OP. Last months code still worked for Nov so I finally bought a queen plush set. Will buy frame locally before delivery. To me this bed is going to be 100x times better than my old bed. Believe it or not I got my current bed from an ex gf about 5 yrs ago because it hurt her back. Anyways moving on up from a used hand me down full bed set to a new deluxe apartment [oops] queen bed . |

Got a call today (Tuesday) that they want to deliver on Thursday. Ordered October 21st and delivery set for November 6th. A little over 2 weeks which isn't bad considering I am in rural Michigan. I'll try to post more when it comes. |

We are not in Matrix BTW, you can also tell from numbers of springs. All classic king have 800 springs and King beds have about 1000. Apparently W Hotel bed fall in world class standard. |

Yup...My Plush is a World Class, although it doesn't have the foam encasement along the edge like other World Class models. |

Yup...My Plush King that I had delivered yesterday is a World Class, although it doesn't have the 360 foam encasement along the edge like other World Class models. It does have the lower gauge pocket coils along the edge though, like the Classics. If I had to categorize it, I would but it right in between World Class and Classic, despite the label. Regardless of that, my wife and i had a great first night's rest on ours. |

King Plush top W Bed was delivered yesterday. Looks like pagani is correct and described it well. Mine is the same. Mine does have the Worldclass tag. It does not have the oval Simmons emblem that you see on the regular beds, however. Top is embroidered with W Hotels across it and it is pretty soft on top. Lots of plush padding before you get to the springs at least compared to my older Sealy Lillehammer Plush bed that I was using. It seems to be closely related to the older classic models with a slightly higher coil count and probably falls inline with the moderately priced classic models in terms of quality. Slept in it last night with the Featherbed and a mattress topper that I bought at JCPenney that was pretty thick. This adds about 4" to the overall height. Bed was nice but I wasn't sure what to make of the Featherbed topper. It was comfy but not "Heavenly" or like a cloud as others have reported. I might try it without the Featherbed at some point to see what the plain mattress is like. Overall I am quite pleased with the purchase considering the bed itself was under $900 delivered. Movement is not transferred to my wife's side like it was with our previous bed so she was quite pleased. She said that I mostly slept in the same place all night which is quite remarkable since I toss and turn constantly. Time will tell if the bed holds up like our last mattress. I expect that there will be more sagging over time as the top is much more plush that our old mattress but time will tell. Based on my experience so far I would definitely purchase another if I had the need. I think that bed offers overall firm support with a soft top. I always used to prefer a firmer feel to my mattress but as I have gotten older I find myself finding a softer top more desirable. Not having tried out that many mattresses I would give this a softness rating of between 6 and 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. |

Hi, I bought a W-Hotel Plush Top queen size mattress and box spring last month. While it is comfortable, I've noticed the impressions or indentations left on top of the mattress from my body are permanent. In other words, they don't spring back to make the top of the mattress nice and flat. If you run your hand across the top of the mattress there will be dips, for instance, where your butt is, where your shoulders are, etc. Is this normal??? Thanks, Bobby |

It is normal for softer top mattresses to show body imprints to some extent. Are they causing a problem or are they just cosmetic? When you say permanent they are there the next night when you lay down? Indentations must be 1.5" or greater in order to get replaced by the warranty. |

Received my Plush California king mattress and box spring. I found this mattress to be softer than I expected but after sleeping on it for several nights I decided I like it even though my first impression was it felt too squishy for me. I also noted that the past two mornings I have not woken when my husband has gotten out of bed so I'm thinking that the movement absorbance from side to side is impressive. My mattress took 3 weeks to the day to be delivered. It was delivered by "The Matress Firm" As a heads up I was asked for $195 COD when it arrived as a delivery fee. I of course refused and the delivery man called the office and then apologized tsaying he was mistaken. |

Thanks knightc2, The indentations are about 3/4" deep and they stay there the next night, probably permanently. I'm just wondering are others experiencing the same thing with their W mattresses? |

Does anyone know if it's risky and/or illegal to use the employee discount program that is listed here, and/or if they ask for verification upon delivery, etc.? Call me cautious, but I just thought I'd check before taking the dive. |

Does anyone know if you have to show proof that you're an employee to use this 40% off discount? Is it allowed for non-employees or "friends of employees"? |

NO. The discounts at the W Hotels Store range from 20% - %40 throughout the year. This "employee" deal has been going on for quite some time and is posted all over "hot deal" sites on the internet and I have yet to see any issues arise from non-employees using the discount. I have not heard of anyone being asked for proof of employment. |

Just the usual word of caution to mattress shoppers: just because this is a decent deal (see my post below linking you to an essentially the same mattress sold at Macy's for the about same price), does not mean that it is the right deal for you. When it comes to mattresses people's comfort preferences vary WIDELY, so many mattresses that work for some people will cause excruciating pain to others. These are good quality mattresses in the Simmons Classic line (not Worldclass, as has been incorrectly noted in some of the previous threads). This does not take anything away from the mattress, however, since there is no direct correlation between the amount of money that you spend and the comfort that you achieve in a mattress. At the same time, I find the W mattresses to be far too soft and not sufficiently supportive for my taste and, personally, much prefer the extra firm and cushion firm mattresses in the Simmons Worldclass line with 1260 coils and a memory foam layer (the memory foam layer on these mattresses does not have the slow sinking feeling which I hate of regular memory foam mattresses and is significantly more durable than regular foam, so it reduces permanent body impressions that make mattresses uncomfortable). Again, this does not take anything away from this deal -- just make sure that you'll be comfortable on these mattresses or it won't matter how good of a financial deal you got. Otherwise, you may find yourself in this situation. |

Yoshi2000 said:If by dents, you mean the impression left by your body.... the warranty will cover dents bigger than 1.5" deep. (I have no idea how they measure this...)It's not a very difficult process. They send out a technician who puts a long string across your mattress with small weights attached to both sides of the string to take up the slack. The technician then measures the distance between the string and the deepest indentation. For Simmons' warranty to apply, the indentation needs to be greater than 1.5". For Sealy and Stearns & Foster, the indentation needs to equal 1.5". Just to warn you, if you have ANY staining on your mattress, your warranty claims will be denied by all the companies out there. Make sure that you use high quality mattress pads on your mattresses if you want to preserve your warranty rights. |

Roy2001 said:Look at the picture posted in FAQ. Also the number of coils indicates that it belongs to world class instead of classic. No, the number of coils indicates that it belongs to the Classic line. Simmons uses the coil count in the Queen sized mattresses(here is a link to Simmons' website, which confirms this) to assign it to the Classic versus Worldclass lines. As such, a Queen W mattress has 825 coils, which puts it in the Classic line. To confirm, just take a look at this Simmons Beautyrest Classic "Adrian" Plush Mattress Set sold at Macy's -- it is a Beautyrest Classic with 800 coils. As you can see from this link taken directly from Simmons' website, a Simmons Worldclass mattress has 980 coils in queen sized mattresses. W Hotels have the "worldclass" label on them because their queen mattresses have 825 coils, which puts them ever so slightly above the Classic line (by 25 coils). In other words, in this case the label is somewhat or a marketing trick to cause people to think that they are getting more mattress for their money. Please note that Macy's price is very similar to the price at which the W mattresses sell and further discounts are pretty easy to obtain off the Macy's price with things like 20% off giftcards. Again, this doesn't take anything away from this deal or from this mattress and if it is comfortable, you won't care about the label on it. |

These are good quality mattresses in the Simmons Classic line (not Worldclass, as has been incorrectly noted in some of the previous threads). I totally agree that the low cost of this doesn't necessarily mean this is a good deal for everyone. If this mattress meets your comfort level than it is a good deal. I urge those interested in this to check it out at a 1800 Mattress store before buying. IMHO this is a good mattress at a great price but at the non-discounted price this mattress is not worth it. The specs on this mattress are inline with moderately priced Beautyrest Classic models BUT the the tag on mine (and many others) clearly states that this is a Worldclass model. I think it is misleading for Simmons to tag this mattress a Worldclass model since quality and feature wise it is closer to the Classic line. |

While the specs would place this mattress closer to the Classic line saying that this is not a Worldclass model would be incorrect. I think it is misleading for Simmons to tag this mattress a Worldclass model since quality and feature wise it is closer the Classic line. Please take a look at my post directly above yours. What allows Simmons to put the "Worldclass" label on the W mattress is the fact that they put 825 coils in a queen whereas their traditional Classic line has 800 coils (the Worldclass line has 980 coils in a queen). So, the extra 25 coils take this mattress outside of the definition of "Classic" and the next category up is "Worldclass," which is where Simmons puts it even though the coil count is nowhere near the coil count found in other Worldclass mattresses. Hence, it is somewhat of a marketing trick on Simmons' part, which causes a lot of people to conclude that they are getting more mattress for the money. P.S. As you can also see from the Macy's link above, Macy's also sells essentially the same mattress for about the same price as the W price after the discount. You can also get additional discounts at Macy's through things like 20% off gift cards but that requires you to know how to use Dealpass, which is YMMV. |
