I believe it is this:

-Costco extends manufacture warranty to 2 years
and
-Returns accepted within 90 days from date of purchase

Is Costco's 2 year warranty an in home service, a third party service or their own repair service?

That's what I thought. Thanks GG.

actually... their nuclear reactors suck, too

My son really wants a tv for his room for Christmas---he wants to mount it on the wall and will use it mostly for video games when his friends come over. Do you think the Westinghouse at Costco is a worthwhile buy or should I wait until after Thanksgiving for another brand?

I would wait since the price is ~$430 OTD. Right now the Panasonic TC32LX85 is only $545 shipped on Pricegrabber (you can PM that to 6Ave if you don't like the vendor USPhoto). If you'd wait until early Dec. it'll probably be down to $520, in which case you should jump on it since it'll be a more reliable TV and the picture will be better.

At any rate if you were to buy with an AMEX in the event that the TV broke coverage wouldn't be too bad. 90-day return policy, 9 months remaining on manufacturer warranty, 1 yr Costco extended warranty, and 1 year extended AMEX warranty after that.

This offer is right now, BF may be a bust, unless you get to the store around 4 am.

Buy mounting brackets from
www.monoprice.com

They should have the lowest prices, I would suggest buying one that swivels and tilts,
and for a larger than the 32 in screen to be sure it is sturdy enough.

Confirmed at costco in mount prospect IL. Saw it yesterday. $399

Took a second look at this TV today. Black levels really suck on it, I would hold off on buying it and wait till the name brand TVs hit the $500 shipped mark, which I think should be here by the end of the year.

For those of you waiting on BF, no TV has been reported to be lower than $399.

Sucks that TVs on BF are going to be so lame.

Have you seen every ad already? I think WalMart might come in with something lower.
