bulbul12 said:Is samsung A127 quad-band? will it work anywhere in the world if we unlock it? does anyone know how to unlock it? No, A127 is dual band only, 850/1900 to be used mainly in US. Be warned, MoneyJar's fine print says "$30 or the purchase price of the phone", you won't make $15, you will actually pay for tax. Misleading, bad MoneyJar web site. |

bought two samsung A117, both rebates are now showing approved. did not need to add any minutes..all i did was call att gophone customer support and ask them to make sure the phone numbers they gave me worked...they verified by calling each phone...neither worked but were activated...csr had to do some internal thing in their system to make my sim cards activate on these phones..but had already told me that the phones were already activated before i opened them since phone numbers existed... |

I sent off the ATT rebate form and I'm not going to load any air-time onto the A117. Right now I'm at about $10 out of pocket for both phones (A117 & A437) after tax and the stamp for the rebate. So if the rebate gets denied, two phones have cost me $10. If it does go through, then the phones will have cost nothing and I'll be $10 up.
Either way this is a smoking deal, especially since the phones were so easy to unlock.
I'll post back when I've heard something about the AT&T rebate. Reporting back in. My $20 rebate in the form of a VISA debit card showed up yesterday. I did nothing as far as activating or using the AT&T account. I just filled in the rebate form, sent it in and waited. So for future reference, there is no air time requirement to receive an AT&T rebate of this nature. AND... I've got two free unlocked phones for spares and an extra $10 in my pocket!!! |

I got a postcard saying "not eligible for rebate becase of not actived". I called ATT to confirm my number is ok, then call rebate center, they just processed my rebate. So, the point is we still can send in the rebate no matter if you active the phone or not. If approved, you are lucky, if not, call in, then if approved, still lucky, if not, try again or just give up. |
