Sorry, I may have entered it wrong. Seems to be working now. |
Not the cheapest. Last week it was $49.95 after ROCKBOX coupon. That coupon does not work. |
since it has SD expansion, and if you want new instead, you could opt for the e260 new for about the same price. |

I had to convert my video to mov format on my 280 before I can play it. But I returned my 280. So I didn't have the 280 very long. $48 is a good price. But photos and video must go thru conversion with sansa software is annoying. And my understanding the expansion slot can only be use with music, not photos or other media or data. |
The e260 is a 4 GB, not an 8gb. You pay a more for new and half the capacity. The 4 GB Sansa e260 mp3 player from SanDisk gets it stylish looks from its black front casing and harder than steel back cover |
Got my 8 gig model from woot last week, and have been truly enjoying it. I rockbox-ed it and have been pretty impressed with the quality, battery life, sound, etc. A fantastic bargain at $50 compared to an ipod nano, for example. |
You can get E270 (6GB) for $39 or $37 AC from Buy.com and add 2GB MicroSD (cheap) and you would get 8GB for roughly $40. |
Gotta warn you guys - Shipping can take FOREVER!! The Sansas are fine, but snail mail sux!

I got mine w/ no issue, but bought it a few months back at the higher price |

IIRC you can only put music on the storage card, at least before you Rockbox it. That said, I was in for 1 at the $50 price, because I had a cheap 8GB SDHC, and I wouldn't mind having a compact player like the e200 Rockboxed with 16GB of content to take with Unfortunately now it's $60 - glad I got my order in when I did! Didn't realize it was going to ship woot "Smartpost" style though, I guess I won't be receiving it before I travel... |
