Looks nice, wonder who actually makes it for them?

Thanks OP.

Not as hot as the 12x9 tablet they sold for $40 back in 2005, but still the best price around for a tablet of this size.

That tablet was apparently a rebadged Aiptek. As I recall, people posted alternative drivers for that in the discussion threads.

Some reported driver problems with the driver CD that comes with previous Medion tablets.

I wonder if the rebadged Apitek 12000U?, that had a driver linked in a FW thread from long ago will work with this model?

O.k. I bit and went and purchased one of these. For the life of me I can't get it to work. I get a flashing blue led on the tablet itself, but the pen only gives me an intermittent red light.
Anyone get on of these and get it to work?

I have tried the drivers in the box and some aiptek drivers as well.

does the pen take a battery? AAA? My old Medion 9x12 does - so the battery might be dead?

Yeah, I have tried three different batteries.
I'm just going to exchange, and then return if I can't get it to work. I've tried everything but voodoo to get this to work and I'm convinced it's a hardware issue. I can only get the light to flash a bit when inserting or removing the battery. I think there's a bad connection inside the thing.

I never got mine to work and the store didn't have any more in stock when I went to exchange. I contacted customer service and they just asked me to send a scan of my receipt and they're going to send me a replacement pen. If that doesn't fix things, I'll just return it.

I'd like to hear from people that actually have a working one.

Edit: I sent the scan and they sent me a notice that they were sending out a complete replacement unit for an exchange. Assuming they send me shipping packaging and pre-paid postage labels, that's o.k. with me.
