Westinghouse 42" 1080p now available online at Costco.com

$29.99 Shipping

This is a great TV, I've owned it now for about two months, I've owned the 47" monitor only Westinghouse for about a year and a half. I love them both, no problems, no dead pixels, no issues.

I use this as a television in my bedroom, haven't hooked it to anything but the cable yet. Will try a computer on it one of these days.

The 47" I use full time hooked to a computer and a cable box. It is excellent as a computer monitor and I expect nothing less from this 42" model.

remember to buy this with your AMEX and extend the warranty for a total of 3 years. 1 year manufacturer, 1 year AMEX, 1 year Costco.

very good price. remember as with all tv deals at costco, the extended warranty does not apply unless you are still a member. It's considered a service not a warranty. So you have to maintain a membership for 2 full years if you want the 2 year warranty.

For sure to use Costco AE and executive membership. That get you $14 back.

I called Costco Concierge and asked about this. Wile AMEX does give you an extra year of warranty it does not extend it to 3 years. Both Costco and AMEX give you one additional year which coincide. So you get 1 year manufacturer + 1 year (Costco and/or AMEX) for a total of 2 years.

Good price, but I'm crossing my fingers for deals on BF.

Dupe of this thread with lots of info.

Mine is still working fine. I'm OK with the purchase.

Could somebody tell me how Westinghouse's warranty works? Is it in-home service or do I have to send it back to the manufacturer? If the latter, who pays for the shipping?

I called to ask. With the standard Westinghouse warranty, you have to either send it back to the manufacturer (in California) at your expense, take it to an authorized service center (nearest one is 4-hours from me), or they will send someone in-home for $75.

That is, if you deal directly with Westinghouse. I don't know if Costco is able to do anything for you if you ordered online.

Did I need to do anything to have extend one year with AMEX, or it automatic extend it?
If anything happen at the 2nd years, should I contact Costco/AMEX, or the manufacturer to have it repair?

Looks dead. The product ID isn't active anymore online.

The Westy is back up on Costco.com now.
