Agreed. However, I think it's really the front shield like grill that most people have a problem with. Now if you can pick up the Euro Honda Accord front grill, I think we have something that will look more bearable.

saw the brand new 2009 TL in the showroom for the first time and loved it. did not at first after looking at photos online, but the actual car is a beauty.

the "start the engine" button is a nice touch too (finally catching up to Lexus on this).

Do you have to touch start button to shutdown the car?

Ummm, are you serious? TL gets about 28 highway, max.

My 2002 TL (stock with 156k miles) gets 31MPG consistently per tankful, with mixed driving. [on highway road trips I can get 34MPG, and I can guarantee this moron SDpwnsFW will never get 38+ in real world driving

And after driving all those miles in a TL, I certainly appreciate a quiet, comfortable, smooth ride when comparing it to many of the other Jap or American cars I driven.

That's where you're wrong. I never get below 38 mpg. I maxed at 39.6, haven't hit 40 yet. Your real world driving and mine are obviously different. I don't get off by tailgating people and slamming the gas to the floor to gain an extra car length. I don't race to a red light and slam on the brakes. I don't drag when the light turns green. I guess you can say I'm a safe easygoing driver thus allowing my car to obtain a high mpg than advertised. nuff said

Press the Start/Power On button and hold it for 10 seconds, kind of long, and the engine will be shut off. Hope that works. j/k

wow. um... wow.

it's comparing apples and oranges... mpg is not the TL's strong suit. but it wins out in so many other ways. i really hope ur kidding with this comment.
What else would I want a 2 wheel drive car for? If it's not getting great gas mileage, whats the point? Is a smooth ride and extra performance worth an extra $10k? Besides looks and performance, what can this car offer me that I'm not already getting from my corolla? The acura isn't exactly a veyron.

someone one sounds like they can't afford a better car...

if you are happy with your corolla, that's great.....

I went with a black 04 Infiniti G35 Coupe, 28k miles, $21k. Not new, but I'm not a new car buyer. However, todays prices of new cars could make me re-evaluate this. My ride

All:

Thanks for the input! I'm picking up mine tonight. If anyone in the North Florida/Jacksonville area is interested, PM me and I'll give you the contact info to the ISM at the dealer I'm buying from.

I'm really stoked, especially since I'm upgrading from a Mazda 3. Not saying the Mazda 3 is a great car, just definitely a very nice step up.

you must be the one causing all the traffic driving 40 in a 65 zone...

I have a Mazda3 as well and i'm thinking about upgrading... did you trade your 3 in? How much did they give you and what kind of mazda3 it is?

YHPM.

The 09 TLs don't look as classy as the older models.
I personally would go for the current (older) model if I had the dough.
And at 28K, it's a steal.

Acura probably hired some people from Microsoft so yes, you do need to hit the start button to shutdown the car .

How stupid. No wonder they're stolen so much, the owners are not holding the button down long enough!!! Instead of quickly turning off the car and getting out to get the mail, for instance, the car's left running so Jonny 5-yearsold can climb up and drive away!!!!!!!

Some dealers have gone so far as to color-match the grill.

The 2009 TL is so fugly you better get a hard-on from those SH-AWD to get it. The 2008 model is still the best looking Acura yet.
