Note that this is the new BL2KIT12864AA80A kit introduced since July 2008 with the improved 2.0v memory chips. Please don't confuse it with the old & dreadful BL2KIT12864AA804.8FE5 or BL2KIT12864AA1065.8FE5 modules many people bought in the early half of 2008.

I'm able to get to the final page of checking out. Don't enter your zip code to estimate shipping, just click "continue" or "checkout" instead. I'm not actually ordering this, but are you having trouble actually submitting the order?

Take those reviews with a huge grain of salt. As OP mentioned, these were released around July/August. People are reviewing them saying "dead after 4/6/7 months of use" even though the sticks haven't been available for that long. I'm willing to be that people are reviewing the wrong item because they can't look at the model number.
An 8/23/08 review says:
Newegg reviewer said: I ordered 2 of these kits 3 months ago.
He gave it a 1/5 rating. It's bringing the rating of the memory way down and it probably shouldn't be. The old version of the Ballistix memory was indeed bad, but these guys appear to be reviewing the old version, not the new one.
freakylink said: I dont know much about this BL2KIT12864AA80A ram but it has very poor reviews on Newegg.
Newegg reviews I doubt those that wrote bad experience actually used the 80A modules. Those bad reviews were most likely based on the old 804 modules. The new modules arrived since late July and nobody had seen any deal about them until Oct. 5 (see my previous deal), yet someone commented "Bad after 6 months", "Worked great for about 7 months". If in doubt, read my linked sources and learn the history.
I was able to go through all the process. However, when submit the order, it will takes you to "Page Cannot be Displayed". Thanks for your help. Hopefully the site will be back online soon.

If in doubt, read my linked sources and learn the history. A few days back I went through a lot of the bad reviews on Newegg for the older 2.2v RAM (the one which ends in "4" instead of "A") and some of them clearly mention that they got this newer RAM as a replacement and that it also did bad. I am currently in the same boat, got the older 2.2v ram that went bad and opted to get the newer 2.0v RAM as replacement. I was offered to get the non-ballistix memory as I am not a gamer and that that would allow me to run the RAM at 1.8v (which is what I was doing with the older 2.2v RAM), but I wanted to try my luck with this. So far running fine (I am now running at the required 2.0v), but not sure how it will do after a few weeks of use.

The kit I posted IS a 4gb 800mhz memory kit, I'm assuming you mean "4gb value kit is $19.99"

So...you read the posts, and decided to ask a question that was already asked and responded to? Then get upset when I point out that it's already been talked about? Yeah, that makes sense. Why are people here so pissy all the time? Sheesh.

Well, my issue is apparently an ISP-level issue. I logged into one of my servers remotely on the West Coast and could place the order on that machine without a problem.

Your response did NOT address the problem I was having.
You just glossed over things and thought that what you read applied to what I was saying, without really paying attention to the issue I listed out.

FINE.
Your question:
brentpresley said: Anyone else having website trouble w/ placing an order?
You say my response "did NOT address the problem". Here's what I was referring to:
tn4304 said: Cannot order.
Ok, someone had the EXACT same problem, it was mentioned almost 5 hours before you asked the exact same thing.
Responses after the exact same problem was originally posted:
Zachmo said: I'm able to get to the final page of checking out. Don't enter your zip code to estimate shipping, just click "continue" or "checkout" instead. I'm not actually ordering this, but are you having trouble actually submitting the order?
and then
tn4304 said: I was able to go through all the process. However, when submit the order, it will takes you to "Page Cannot be Displayed". Thanks for your help. Hopefully the site will be back online soon.
So yes, your problem actually WAS addressed. How does that NOT apply to what you were saying?! The issue you're having is the EXACT SAME THING that was originally posted. You obviously didn't bother to read this thread in full, because you're just saying the absolute same thing. I hate arguing about insignificant crap like this but you are just making the dumbest comments right now. Your exact issue was already discussed, which is why I said "read the posts, this was covered", because we ALREADY TALKED ABOUT IT. What part of that do you not understand?! Sheesh. We already know the site is getting hit hard, someone already brought it up, it's still happening, get over it and move on.
My POINT was your post had ZERO meaningful content, because the problem was only MENTIONED, not ADDRESSED (i.e. solution).
Man you are a prick. I think what Zachmo meant was that the issue was already covered (ie., the topic came up before). That doesn't prohibit others from bringing it back (especially that there was no solution), however, your question seemed like you had no knowledge of that discussion (since all that you were asking was if anyone else is having trouble ordering, for which the answer is an obvious "yes" from the previous posts).

Riiiight...all I did was point out that this had been discussed. Then you respond with "Thanks jackmunch", and you're calling ME a prick because of my reaction to that? What did you expect, sunshine and happiness after that jackass comment? Yeah, calling me jackmunch was completely necessary and mature, and I'm sure if I called you a jackmunch for trying to point something out, you'd react like a saint. All I was trying to do was point out that it had been discussed, to make sure you knew that. You had absolutely no reason to react like a whiny-ass dipshit.
It's not even worth trying to help people here anymore; there's just a bunch of whiny ass brats who overreact to everything, it's utterly pathetic.

Just a word of warning. I got 3 sets of this ram and they are not very reliable. They (4 sticks) caused my system to crash daily until I replaced them.
^^ did you run that at or above 2.0V with manual speed voltage & timings set?
these are not meant for oem computers where you can't diddle the timings/voltage right aka not meant for the general public to shove in to their systems. more so for overclockers and those that understand why some ram can be pushed to 2.4V and insane speeds.
SmashNGrab said: will this work on a pc that accepts pc5300?
rams are backward compatible so you shouldn't have a problem. and mike make sure which revision you got, I'm tired of reading people reviewing their older ballistix instead of these new ones. Read the stats before posting
