I'd say this is luke warm...
sure you can't find anything better at the moment but compared to past deals and what is to come (BF and holidays sales) I do not think this is worth it.

curious what other have to say about this.

I say I'm tired of hearing about BF.

More than price, its the 'quality' that Philips has come to be associated with, thats more questionable than anything else.

The $30 coupon does not stack, but the 10% off alone does bring it to the price you state ($869.49).

I bought a Philips 47PFL5603D 47 inch LCD TV from Buy . com for $1099 and I am pretty happy with it. Sure, Samsung and Sony are better but they are also more expensive.
Philips quality isn't bad.

this is from SD:
"Quote from redsolar :
Folks, it's not clear if the TV can really be called a TV at this point, there is no information on its Tuners, and even though it has an antenna input, Philips official brochure claims that it uses PAL system for over-the-air transmission.

We are looking into it right now.

he is right, also REVIEWS wise, only good ones from CNET asia. so my feeling that this is a ASIAN market TV.

also, that review is from august 2007, so perhaps overstock bought some bulk....

cancelled my order"

I would be careful with this one. this really makes it a bad deal.
plus there are rumors Philips is trying to get out of the US TV market.

It is true Philips is pulling out of the US TV Market, it isn't a rumor. It has been announced about 6 months ago. NY Times

The majority of people, even SD'ers don't event get in on any of the super deals that are around on BF because the available quantity is so low. Some of the less popular deals are easy to get in on though but the hot TV deals will be extremely tough to nab.

Sacrifice the 10% instant for 20% cashback?

Or maybe do both. Bank the 10% and hope for the 20%.

i ordered one of these. received it today (11/10). there are "renewed" stickers all over everything. chatted online with overstock rep who sent me into the first leg of whatever runaround they have by creating a case # and forwarding it to a "special representative in the oversized item department". hmmmm. rep did agree that the item should be new with a 1 year warranty and not a refurb with a 90 day warranty as indicated on the packaged material. not sure what that'll get me.
