Don't need to buy ram this time to get a good price.
Active PFC to save energy. Dual PCI-E 6 or 8 pin power connections for dual video cards. Earlier versions had a single PCI-E plug. Sleeved cables. There were some complaints about short cables, so they now make them longer. FSP Group made it. Not ultra high end, but still good quality stuff. My OCZ rebates have all been paid ok, without nagging them.
Bought last month in $23 AR combo which included 2 gigs of OCZ ram.

I agree w/ everyone, that at this price, w/ rebate, no tax, from Newegg, this seems like a decent, good quality, efficient, mid-level, OK, usually sufficient, acceptable, power supply. (Translation: Probably the best cheapo you will find). Only apparent, potential issues may be rebate, cable lengths, # of cables, no 8-pin 12V MB power, and max. watts for high end, or multiple video card systems.
Need a replacement for a used system, or a new budget system, but are thrifty - great choice! Building a new, "power user" system that is future proof - get more watts w/ more connections.
EDIT: OCZ bought out / took over one of the best power supply manufacturers of all time, PC Power and Cooling. Therefore, I expect great things from OCZ in the future.

Are you complaining about 2GB of RAM for $3?
Not really, but the ram combo deal was more money up front, and it added another rebate. I think this $20 PSU is one of the best deals, for an active PFC unit, since the Antec 380W Earthwatts was $5 AR in January.

It's pretty hard to go wrong with Antec. I would say tax (and shipping for me) for the Antec would make the twenty dollar ocz one better. But if you are just going for quality between the OCZ and Antec, go for the Antec (if it's worth the 13-18 dollars more for you).

Forgive me if this is already clear to you: so what we get from this deal comes with longer cables? (I am about to buy but the cable length is exactly an issue for me
Thanks,

Ordered 11/04. Received 11/06. Incredible fast shipping! This unit is going into my HTPC build.
Tested...very quiet! This thing looks much better than the old Thermaltake I have in the case right now.

Thanks,
Very old Newegg user reviews had some short cable complaints. The manufacturer responded that they have made the cables longer.
Cables seem plenty long for 99% of the cases out there. Buy a cheap extender if you have to.
SATA 1st plug to last one 16"-29". IDE to floppy, 1st plug to last one 16"-28". Mobo 17". PCI-E 1st plug to last one 16"-25".

The cable length should only be a concern if your case locates the power supply to the bottom. What makes it bigger issue is some MFGer's route the cables toward the back of the mobo/tray .. Lets not even discuss some mobo locate the power connector(s) to the middle of the board .. I am on the opposite end, I want my cables extremely short. I am waiting for Silverstone's shorty modular set to come back to stock.
The Antec Basiq is also the Fortran psu. I've done extreme load tests on the Basiq and it did extremely well, if the OCZ is a Fortran than it's probably the same model

And not the same model. OCZ has 120mm inlet fan and is 80% efficient. Antec Basiq has 80mm exhaust and is not 80% efficient.
The OCZ seems to be a cost-cut version of Fortron's 500W Blue Storm II.

You have been warned. Anyone who disagrees is not educated in electrical engineering. You don't need an EE education to peer inside the PSU and spot smaller heatsinks and consequently a higher (but still very quiet to most) fan speed for cooling. I assume you're talking about the actual design and layout of the circuit board. How about explaining to someone educated in electrical engineering why the design is junk?
