Last time during the special hours the sale price came up automatically.
However, the special rebate for what I bought for purchases 6PM to 9PM did not work on line. A Sears manager gave me the rebate in the form of a gift card.

No you don't, you would get sale price of the item + the addition 5% or 10% qualifies for it. If you wanted the additional Sears promos like no interest for 2 years or an additional % off promotion, then you need a Sears card. For example

Some clarifications since some people have some questions...
Sears always has a 30 day price guarantee, if you bought something from them in the last 30 days, you can get the price adjusted to match the Friends and Family event.
Keep in mind however, that F&F is the percentage off OR free delivery and no interest no payments, if a previous purchase included free delivery you'd have to choose between keeping that free delivery, or giving it up and getting the percentage off.
The way the event works is with a barcode. So on top of any sale prices you get %10 off, this should include any price matching, but YMMV. Your best bet is a Kenmore product, which is 20 then 10 percent off, so a $1000 appliance ends up being $720
Using your Sears Card gets you nothing during this sale, but you could open a new Sears Card (not the Mastercard) and get 6 months no interest no payments as well.
Finally, Authorized Dealer Stores have this special ALL DAY on Monday the 17th, so if you can't make the narrow window at the full-line stores, head to your local dealer store.

Just so you know, Sears DOES price match, just look at their policy on the website. Do your research before you open your mouth.
I used to work there and can tell you that they will find reasons to not PM. e.g. "Thats a limited quantity item" or "That store is outside of our market" therefore we can't PM. It's wrong to see that a store will PM and don't back out of it when the price is "too low" but thats life unfortunately.
And sometimes they will even "forget" to give you that 10% difference discount...just watch out for that one. I am personally a FWer but as a sales rep it is one's worst fear because:
FWers don't buy warranties FWers PM like crazy
Both things that managers don't like and make the department look bad. Just so that you guys know...

If you have bought from same store, then you can get the PM as none of the above reason will hold true. right? (As you have worked at Sears, so you would know it better)
I'll have to plead ignorance, online I would assume it automatically gets applied. The barcode I spoke of is generated at the store level for associates to give the extra 10% off, the consumer would have no reason to have it.
What do folks think about the 37" tv for $599 or $570 after the 5% discount? I can't find a 37" by that company for sale anywheres online and it doesn't seem to be up on the Sears website yet.
Please heed this advice for a great deal. I happened to stumble across this last year:
1. Shop locally for a better, negotiable price for what you're purchasing and get it in writing (this is improtant...say something like..."I'm real close to purchasing and am near certain I'm going to buy from you, but I need a day to think about it to make 100% sure because I never make a purchase this big on the spot. What prices did you say? Can you write those down for me?". For us, H.H. Gregg negotiated a 19% discount for a full kitchen suite with us.
2. Take the offer in writing to Sears and see if they can do better. If they say they can match it (which they should), bring up F&F. You should be able to lock in your price match price PRE F&F.
3. Go in on F&F and start with the price match price. Reduce that by whatever MIRs and cash register discounts are available and SCORE!
We got $5000 worth of appliances for $2500. 50% off ain't too shabby. We accidentally stumbled across this by actually shopping around right around Sears' F&F. Granted, last year Sears had a 20% off rebate for appliances on top of their 5% register rebate. Good luck!

Be careful on this. If the extra 10% off/24 months 0% you're referring to is the Ultimate Football promo, it expires before VIP night. I doubt something comparable will take it's place, as I suspect Sears learned a costly lesson after last year, or what I like to call my greatest contribution to FW ever. Still, there are some good deals here, and I will probably be advising my parents to get the Panasonic 50" plasma.

Here is inside info on this sale.
This is a good not great sale. Im only talking appliances as I work in Fridges at Sears. If you are buying a house full of appliances WAIT FOR "BUY MORE SAVE MORE" event.
1) Generally this is a 2 part sale; usually its 20% off Kenmore REG PRICE and additional 10% off, but just 10% off for other brands. Call it B+ for regular Kenmore, B for Kenmore Elite and C for most of the rest. I wont bore you with a full page of if>then situations for better and worse sales. 2) Let me be brutal about the price matching if you just bought online: The associate does not give a rats bum about your sale. They make NOTHING per hour + commsissions. Sears online sales is their competition who ANSWERS THEIR PHONES and tries to steal their sales. Thats right, they do the leg work and the internet sales division gets a crack at anyone who calls back later. Also they can not see your order. It is on a different computer system. This is to keep them from cancelling and re-ringing the sale. Nice associates will politely get you a manager who has access to different computers. More shall we say "terse" ones will tell you to "talk to the internet" since that is where you got it. If you bought but not delivered, you can do 3 things. a) Cancel then go to the store that night. b) Cancel then redo it on line that night. c) Ask online sales about their price match policy. 3) MANY sales people are VERY hungry right now and care a bit less than normal about the service (unless their manager is riding them extra hard on service). They are grateful for anything so play this to your advantage. Still some will come on all too strong on the service part. I sold only 5 machines last month >$1200. Sales declined sharply in September and outright CRASHED in October. Many people went from making $12 to $20 an hour to going into draw. Draw is minimum wage which they hold against you for any sales in the future that put you above minimum wage. I made $4 for 8 hours work last Sunday off 6 filters. 4 of us were on the floor and 1 fridge was sold. My sales were 2nd best at for the day at $250.

Hmm, that's weird. I work at Sears and that is never an issue. I guess since we are commission based, some employees don't want to price match cause they lose money off the sale if they sold it. But at my store, we always price match. I guess we are not as greedy here. Heck, some people price match to different states or online stores but I guess it boils down to which employee you get.
Isn't that Samsung washer and Dryer Pair a Really Good Price? My Sears is in A mall that gives you $20 per $200 purchased (discovercard promo), so that would be extra $80 off.
since Sears is commission-based, would there be a chance to convince a sales rep to provide bonuses to the purchase? years and years ago, i bought a laptop from Good Guys, and got bunch of freebies with the purchase cause they were commission-based.

I don't know about throwing in free stuff, but discounts can be sometimes sweet talked to. Especially if you are buying an In-home service agreement. Usually FWers don't buy that though.
You will not get your refund in 5 days. You will have to call again. I had a similar issue with them, had to call them 3 times, each time they said it will take 5 days...speaking to supervisor was of no avail, finally I had to go to the credit card company (Citi) and log a dispute for the amount. Dealing with Sears online for a refund is really bad...
