I misunderstood how it worked I thought if there was a rating on my reply screen it was a green or red for the OP not for what I said. I get it now, thanks.

ocean935, we all benefit from more knowledgable fwers. zeddgara's remark doesn't necessarily contribute, but rotten attitudes like yours drag fw down...way down.

Really? I just refreshed the webpage & confirmed on the main Corsair Thumbdrive page which shows all their USB versions. It doesn't offer a "Add to Cart" option, only offers "Auto-Notify".

Anyone else confirm?

I've never had a problem with corsair rebates in the past. I just got the rebate back for the 16gb version of this that I purchased about 2 months ago (rebate took ~7 weeks). I have since purchased another (with rebate) for my father. Might pick up this 8gb one for my mom... as she mentioned that she would like one too.

In any case, I definitely wouldn't sweat a Newegg+corsair rebate. As rebates go, I would put them near the top.

I just ordered one.
Here in NJ there is sales tax.
My total was $21.39.
After rebate = $12

Got this drive today, but not lanyard included, just the drive. WTF? When I bought the Corsair 4GB drive earlier this early it cam with a nice looking lanyard.

I also received mine today. The packaging was different than shown on Newegg, no Security info as show in the pics on Newegg. I guess you have to find it on the website somewhere (The Encryption/security APP). I did find a link to a site on the corsair site.... called TrueCrypt which looks like an open source USB Drive encryption App. Maybe I will give that a try.

Also, no lanyard, but I don't recall seeing that in the pic of the product on Newegg.
