Bought one for $20 after the truevalue coupon and its very bright. MUCH brighter than my EverLED modified Mag 2D which is only 1W Luxeon. |

What's the best way of keeping fully charged D cells onhand? Will alkaline batteries loose their power just waiting to be used? I've been spoiled by the AA rechargerabales that always are at preak prower. Will this work well with Sanyo's rechargaerable AA batteries in the D cell housing? |

Check your alkalines and it will have a year on it to tell you when it is good until (usually few years). I have 2 Rayovac Hybrid AAs in a D housing and its even brighter than the Super Duty batteries that it came with. Definitely worth it for $20 bucks and I actually like the looks. |

What are you searching in the LED for to get a good one? |

I bought one of these last night, but am concerned I have a defective button. I need to use the tip of my thumb to depress the button, because pressing with the pad of my thumb won't fully depress it. Did I pick up a flashlight with a stubby button or is this just the design of the flashlight? |

How does this compare to my Surefire 6P Led that I got as a gift? Is it noticably brighter at a 1/3 the price? Any advantages to the Surefire considering only 80 lumens output vs this at 200 lumens? -Josh |

well, i broke down and bought one last night. haven't opened it yet. just went camping last weekend and had my lowes 3w task force which was the brightest light in my son's boys scout troop. can't wait for the next outing. btw, while looking for the husky, i saw all the energizer hard case professional led flashlights on clearance at over 50% off. i bought the 2-d 80 lumen 3w lumiled flashlight that's virtually indestructible for $10 (reg. $25.) it's got a lifetime warranty, made of abs and is water resistant. after i got home and searched some reviews on the energizer hard case flashlights i may go back to buy a few for xmas gifts since they're only $9-10 each. they had a few 2-aa models but i don't remember if it was the swivel head light or the regular light, but all the hard case lights had a yellow clearance sticker on the rack. |

Lowes or Home Depot? Husky is only available at Home Depot. |

It's not totally butt ugly. My kids thought it looked like Luke's lightsaber from Star Wars. |

Went to HD during lunchtime today. Found the 200 lumen "Husky" for $24.97 but ended up getting a smaller 145 lumen Husky (3 watt Cree LED) for $20 + change and also picked up 2 of the energizer hard case lights that was marked down. Gotta say the Husky is quite bright.....It Rocks!!!!! Going to another HD (York, PA.) this evening to check there supply. Thanks OP for this great deal! |
