as of today most if not all P&S camera comes with video option and most people who lurk here may own at least one digital camera. this is basically an upgrade to what they already have.
finally this is a fun contest. you do not have to be an expert to participate.

Valid point in my opinion. And as I stated before I feel that copywrites were violated. Which was against contest rules. I did state this before, but I guess no one felt the same. I understand objects that weren't intentionally placed in videos, but objects that were should've had taped logos. They do it in real life. I should know I've only had a ton of film crews to do movies/videos/reality/ and commercials at my house.

You didn't even compete and you're angry, which I hope other people are at least disturbed in some way. I really don't think people watched any of the videos! When I look at the winners their opening scenes look cool (the first image displayed). But really.... some of them I would've just placed a little lower on the scale.

I am being a sore looser and I know mine was bad because you can't even read it that well but yeah I used what I had. Aside from that I had about 4 videos in mind that were actually really good. Only 2 of those were even up there. I find it amazing how some people even got below 2. (I honestly expected mine to be low though since I didn't fix the size issue.) The grand prize winner wasn't obviously my first pick but it is a pretty good song. Kudos and Congrats Quiche.

But I'm upset about rules not being followed up on. If we take this to the extreme case of videos that were submitted past deadline, I say take it all the way there. I mean mine didn't win and I stated I didn't really care if it was entered, so long as people saw it because I had fun. I know if there was even a "rematch" mine would probably not win. But as stated I think in the future the staff should pick an actually top X good ones. This honestly narrows out the "popularity vote" even though the voting seemed flawless. I had my doubts but this didn't turn out how I thought it would.

I think this really ended up like *people who submitted voted 5 swirls on their vid. 3 swirls on funny guy's vid. 1-2 swirl to everyone else they didn't care to watch*

Not fair to other people and yes I am bracing for red.

Additional suggestion. Perhaps next contest the videos should have no username's next to them and it should be a link with only a title. Title's may not include user's name or alias. Links will be displayed at random. Otherwise I'd go with the staff picks a top 5 or 10 videos and from there the users vote.

BTW is there a way to find out how many people actually voted? The reason I ask is because youtube has this views thing. I notice some videos were only viewed like 150 times where as others 500 times. It's possible for just other random people to view it, but If 500 people voted but someone only 3 videos had 150 and 4 others had like 250 views... meaning people didn't watch videos. If only 15 people voted then I guess it makes sense. Just want to know is all

I believe I gave quiche 3 swirls, so I'm not saying I think it was bad. I'm fine with it getting grand prize. I actually have a problem with the runner ups. Along with another video that was allowed in the contest. But I already contacted an admin about it. Just blowing steam.

Anyways I hope there's another contest like this soon.

Is there any word on how prizes will be sent out? The address I last received a CashBack check at is probably outdated, hopefully that's not the method used..
