Hi, this is my first deal post, so please go easy.

Tried searching for this deal, didn't seem to find any previous posts. If someone else already posted, I apologize.

Maxtor OT4 Mini 80GB - $29.99
Maxtor OT3 Mini 80GB - $27.99

Linky

There are other deals as well, but I'm only interested in these.

Update:
Deal is dead, I guess they ran out of stock. There are still some internals available if anyone is interested.

Thanks to those who voted green! I'll be sure to post again if I ever get lucky enough to find some decent deals before someone else do

From my experience, the OT3 is PATA and the OT4 is SATA.

my question is, why the heck is Seagate selling Maxtor crap?

alert mods

Because Seagate owns Maxtor's crap...good deal if you need a spare portable drive.

shipping is 7.99, any codes? thanks

Which one would be better for a MAC?

alert mods

From what I can see, one major difference between the two mini hard drives is the warranty. The OT3 appears to have a one year warranty, while the OT4 has a 5 year warranty. 4 extra years is well worth the extra $2 in my opinion. Either way, green for you OP for a good deal on a portable hdd, even if it is somewhat small.

. . . why are all the selections "greyed" out and cannot be added to cart?

alert mods

. . . anyone else having problems purchasing?

alert mods

I'm in on the OT4 mini. Last time they had the sale like this most of us had our orders canceled as they apparently do not check inventory before allowing the order to complete.

Doesn't hurt to try again. Maybe I will be lucky this time...

Works only with IE - options are greyed out with Firefox
