How strange...there was barely anything left in any of the four stores I visited over the weekend. Even most of the fixtures were sold. If it does come time for the remaining assets to be liquidated, I wonder if it's just a matter of time until those stores re-open for a few days...

Well, a glimmer of hope for employees/customers:

Any news? Ones here in Florida still closed.

Wow, they screwed their employees ? I worked for them for about 6 years (about 8 years ago), I always thought it was a great company to work for. How the times change...

Tweeter mails out employee checks

Not everything that they have coming. Hopefully, they'll get the rest of their pay soon.

That sucks for them.

About 3 1/2 years ago I purchased 2 TV's and a sound system from Tweeter in York, Pa. and at that time I was talked into a 5 year warranty, an expensive outlay. I had a repair guy out 3 times thus far and I need service again. When I called the service # last week, 12/5/08 I got no answer. Now that Tweeeter is out of business, I guess I got stung and will be unable to use the final year of the warranty. I learned my lesson; never again will I buy a warranty at least one that is 5 years out.

The York, PA was a really good store to me. I was sad to see it close about a year ago.

Whoa there, necromancer.

This thread has been dead for a month and a half. You really, really, really shouldn't expect that one guy of whom you were asking this question to ever see your post.

You should look elsewhere if you need that information.

ps - Google is your friend.
