same crap that ConUSA did. Raise the prices 30% then take 40% off. I had been shopping for a receiver there a month ago and the "original price" on the tags now is $35 more than it was last month. The only "deals" were on their clearance items which did seem to have a better discount than usual. |

DanMannyMan said:Over-priced? Tweeter used to do a great job with price-matching. They'd match advertised prices and then monitor advertised prices for 30 days after your purchase and refund any difference. Maybe the base prices were high, but I thought that alone was a good reason to choose them over Best Buy. Why would you buy from a place that tries to stick it to the consumer and will only give you the lower price of everyone else if you beg for it? I am going to patronize the store that has the lowest prices and not the store with higher prices who will price match the stores with lower prices. |

Stopped by the store in Deptford NJ today. Not a deal to be found. TivoHD for $240? Yeah right. "Sales Staff" were in plain clothes and not helpful at all. |

I asked one of sales when they are planning to close. He told me that they might stay opened up until thanksgiving weekend depending on the inventory remaining. |

If you were losing your job in a few weeks would you really care that much? Right now the deals are on their high end speakers like the Martin Logan and Focal. All 40% off and an additional 10% off that price this weekend. If you buy a receiver with the speakers it's an additional 20% off the discounted price. Don't know where you can find that from an authorized dealer. |

My local Tweeter had almost no boxed product. Display units were mostly for sale. These display units have been in the store since it opened years ago. I can just imagine the abuse this equipment has suffered over the years. |

Went to the Charlotte, NC tweeter and was sorely disappointed. It's 1/2 a mile from my house and I feel like the trip was wasted |

They are not the regular store employees.. they work for the liquidator. fabulousfrankie said:LarryS said:Stopped by the store in Deptford NJ today. Not a deal to be found. TivoHD for $240? While the liquidators are in charge, it's still the same staff at the stores. |
