TigerDirect has the Hitachi 1 TB Internal Hard drive 7200 RPM 32MB Cache for $80 AR + 8 shipping.
TigerDirect Edit by Moderator: Thank you for participating in the forums. However, the link you provided benefited a site other than, or in addition to, the one making the offer. Please in the future provide the most direct link possible.
Working link (I hope), and without the referral tags in the OP link.
Item is $110 with a $30 rebate from the RebatesHQ folks. Rebate has a limit of five, so you can buy several to cut down on shipping per drive. Shipping to IN is $7.99 for one, and only $12.95 for five.
Also don't forget the $4.40 FWCB on each drive.
So what's the current verdict on today's Deskstars?
If you go to CompUSA, there's also $20 back on $200 purchase when paying via PayPal. And CUSA has 4.5% back, so you're not losing much in the CB department if the $20 doesn't come through.

I got my most recent Hitachi rebate in about three weeks. Very fast and reliable rebates.

CompUSA is definitely the best bet if you are wanting two drives!
$219.98+$12.66s&h = $232.64 - $30*2 MIR - $20 Paypal - 4% FC ($8.80) = $143.84 final cost (only $71.92/ea!) Of course, my Paypal account is linked to my Discover which gives me another 1%+ back ($2.33) -- more if I redeem for rewards cards.
FYI, CompUSA version of the deal has an "estimated delivery date of December 22nd". I THINK the rebate is still valid, but i don't trust CompUSA (aka TigerDirect) to ship it on-time, and either way, i won't be at my house to accept shipment, fill out rebate, and send it in. Hope i was helpful.

TigerDirect always has a rebate. I don't how many people got one.
WTF . . . .??? It was there just a minute ago, as mentioned in this repost. But now I don't see it either. Maybe it had something to do with that other post's referral link. Try it before the mods delete it.
Edit: One of my open browser windows still shows it, but no longer available in new windows.

BTW, they have $1.99 shipping today, so even better deal. I see still $7.99 shipping for one, and $13.xx for 2 drives. Where is $1.99 shipping?
To get the $1.99 shipping your order has to be > $100 and < 50 lbs... buy two = $1.99 ground ship

Says that I get $0.00 ground shipping to Hawaii. When I hit "checkout," it retains the free shipping. Glitch? Am I going to be surreptitiously charged $49 for 2nd day air?
Just thought of something... to maximize paypal $20, if you want 4 or 5, could you do it in 2 purchases and get $20 twice (better than whatever the extra shipping would be)
In for 2. Thought about buying the drives early this morning when shipping was still $7.99. One of the very few times where waiting pays off!

sweet deal, thank OP! Combined this with the recent $10 off $100 order coupon and Live CashBack for a total under $70. Great deal since I needed the room.

You don't need to buy 2 - the price is 109.99 + 1.99 shipping.

Any sign that they charged you the inflated shipping? This is the whole reason i didn't buy from TD

Any sign that they charged you the inflated shipping? This is the whole reason i didn't buy from TD It showed $0.00 for me too until I refreshed and my PayPal shipping information showed up (this was for Tiger Direct's CompUSA.com -- went with the $20 off $200 if you pay with PayPal offer). Then it overcharged me. I sent an email (via web form) requesting adjustment/refund.
Great deal for two drives (too hot a deal though if you don't keep a fan on them ).
I ordered 2 from CompUSA.com on 11/14 and they were scheduled to ship yesterday (11/21). I called customer service today and they now have no ETA for shipment of these drives. Prices are falling fast on 1TB drives so I cancelled my order.

Really? Where else have you seen a 1TB 7200RPM drive with 32MB cache for about $80? With the $1.99 shipping, PayPal, Fatwallet, and credit card Cash Back, I figure it is more like around $70 for me. Wish they would get them in stock. I'm running out of space on my DVR, and I've spent the better part of the last 24 hours watching TV.
My order from CompUSA (aka TigerDirect) came in -- the packing really blows with two hard drives tossed in a small box with some crunched up paper but hopefully they'll be okay.

How do you get the 15% CashBack? Search for "tiger direct" at Live.com.
If you've been slacking it's time to mail that rebate (I missed a few due to getting busy but thankfully not this one). Rebate attached as a PDF to the second post/wiki area.
