peas said:eBay BIN with live.com is as cheap or cheaper, and no rebate hassle. Don't trust TigerDirect I don't know about that. I have bought several of the cheaper 1TB on eBay and none of them were cheaper or even close to the $66.50 that was available in this deal. Most of them were close to $76-80 after live CashBack. In any case TD CashBack is down to 10% and eBay was done to 20-25% so the relatively mathematics might have changes. Also the rebate is with Hitachi not TD and I have not had a problem Hitachi rebates in the past. That said the instant CashBack if you get it on eBay is nice and I agree with another poster that TD's packaging of hard drives for shipment leaves a lot to be desired.

FYI, I ordered two drives over the weekend, and my order got "stuck" processing. Called Tiger and they said that "many" orders for various products had this happen. After 30 minutes on the phone, I finally got them to push the order through. In spite of the fact that they told me it would show the original (Nov 29th) purchase date, the new order had yesterday's date (Dec 3rd) on it. While this is not a problem since there is a new rebate on the drives from Dec 1 - Dec 31st, anyone who ordered other products with the rebate ending on Nov 30th should be aware that their rebate may be in jeopardy. Please note, though, that the new rebate is a different number. Bad news is that means that you could end up sending in the wrong form and getting denied; the good news is that if you already hit your limit of 5 drives in November, you should be able to get 5 more in December. While I normally don't bash Tiger, I just wanted to make sure everyone else got their proper rebates back. -Todd |

Just found out the drives are on back order, even though mine were supposed to be shipped out on Tuesday. I was told they don't expect any more until next Friday Dec 12th. Good luck. Todd |

Should the page show the CashBack logo like it does on eBay when you checkout? I clicked through the link, but don't see the CashBack logo anywhere on teh page confirming that I would be getting CashBack. Thanks |

Just ordered it. $16.50 showed up in LiveCashBack account. Total Cost: $112 - $30 (rebate) - $16.50(LiveCashBack) = $65.50. I also get 2% from credit card. Pretty good. Hope the drive is good. |

Good deal. Was waiting for them to drop back to $79.99 AR. Bought 5. With the 15% CB I will end up paying $63.89/ea. AR/CB. Awesome deal. |

ThanksI didn't see anything on the checkout page either. But after I clicked the CashBack link, on TD's site they asked for an email address for CashBack updates. I suspect that is how it works. I have received 3 messages regarding this order, but none is about CashBack. Anyone can comment? |
