Amazon has the camera 2 lenses plus a free filter for $778.37 shipped. This is part of a Canon promotion so there may be other deals. This was not shipping from Amazon earlier today, but is currently available. The silver body still shows as shipping from Amazon, but the black body is currently not available from Amazon. Check back regularly, as it is common for Amazon to change availability as well as price on a regular basis.

black is available from Amazon now.. but the total for the exact same shopping cart is $790

I cannot get this deal to work. I think that's because Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras is sold by a third party through Amazon. Any help ?

Ok sorry I got it. I found the same lens sold by Amazon.com

The -$100 promotion is not taking. When I add both the camera and lens to my cart, they show up separately (different sub-orders) when I proceed to checkout. This seems to cause the discount to NOT be applied. Any idea what's going on here?

the deal is still good. you need to select the 55-250 is lens from Amazon, and not the other sellers who may have a lower lens price. i just tested it:

Shipping & Handling: $8.53
Super Saver Discount: -$8.53
Promotion Applied: -$100.00

Total Before Tax: $761.94
Estimated Tax: $0.00

Order Total: $761.94
Amazon just lowered the price of the 55-250mm a few bucks from when the deal was posted so it's a little cheaper now.
