dnaL0R said:although it is not available for shipping and all the locations around me are OOS...Consider yourself lucky. This thing is a complete piece of junk. For $215 with tax, you can buy yourself a nice 5.1 setup. Check the Onkyo refurb deals going on now. Any of those systems blows this Sony sound bar away. Sure, I know a sound bar is less intimidating to hook up and has a more simplistic look. But ask yourself, are you buying this for looks or sound quality? Stop being lazy and hook up a nice 5.1 or 7.1 system and you will be happy you spent the extra time to do so for years to come. |

My local store had them in stock, and I just ordered one. Might wait to see the weekend ad to see if it's the same price, plus an extra 5%-10% weekend discount. I'm not expecting this unit to provide 5.1 surround sound. It's for use with a 32" tv in a bedroom, where I don't have room (nor do I think it's appropriate) to have 5 speakers, a subwoofer, and a receiver. (In deference to extrabad, my father did buy a reburbished Onkyo 7100 system yesterday (for use with a 40" set in a living room)). Jeff |

oh no, i already bought one last time around... just wanted to pass the deal along to my fellow FWers... i see what you are saying for the most part, but i may consider aesthetics and ease of installation more than many others... i haven't hooked it up yet since i have yet to get the tv [still waiting for that GREAT deal], but @ <$200 [i also stacked a 10%OFF coupon], i don't think it will disappoint... especially since this is for my bedroom that is going to get hooked up to a 32"... to each his own (o_0) |

SonyStyle.com has it for $199 too, for those that were looking to use their Discover CashBack ($80->$100 value). Your total will end up being $100 + tax. |
