They have had good sales about this time of year for the last couple of years, at least.
While this is an interesting tool, as noted, it is not practical to carry around in the pocket. I have been using these: Victorinox Swiss Army Tinker with Free Classic Knife for years, and since they are currently on sale for $14.62 for the pair, I just bought 2 more sets of them.
I like the Tinker when wearing work clothes and the Classic is great for more dressy wear. My wife and both daughters also all love the Classic for their purses.
