Ignoring the inherent benefits of buying from Costco (as opposed to somewhere else), I'm not seeing much to blow me away here. Thanks for the effort, though. Always appreciated.
In the same section as the previous quote - "Costco members not only receive the best possible prices at costco.com, but can also shop at any of the Costco Wholesale locations worldwide!"
I take that to say If you don't have a membership you cant come shop at our stores. Which makes sense as they have a person checking membership cards at the door for a reason.
Sams club though I believe will let non members shop there, though you may need a day pass. The catch being you pay a 10% Surcharge.
So yes, its an online only thing and its been in effect at least since the beginning of the year.
For those interested, Costco is CURRENTLY handing out their second Household Almanac FREE, at the exit door. They will give you one as you get your receipt checked at the door, or you can just walk up and ask for one. This is over 200 pages, and is loaded with information on electronics, cameras, health, and tips for everyday living. Costco does ask for tips from customers when creating these almanacs. You can email tips to them, or the almanac tells other ways to submit them. If Costco uses any of your tips in their next almanac they will send you a Cash Card good in any Costco.
Also, for those that like Cookbooks, Costco will be handing out FREE, their latest, "In the Kitchen The Costco Way", to anyone, that visits any of their locations, on Nov.28, Nov.29, or Nov.30. This book has 280 recipes with photos, and a section of favorites, by some of America's top chefs. That will be while quantities last, but they are usually fairly well stocked on such items.
Thanks for typing everything out. Can I ask, where did you find the HP laptop deal? I went to Costco friday and they were still handing out the same holiday book and I couldn't find this item # on line?
