GHIII - I know it is a guitar only game so the 2 guitars will only be used in duel mode, correct?

GHWT - Since this is a band game I can use one guitar as a guitar and the other as a bass guitar?

you probably mean GHIII and GHWT, I believe you are correct on the first part (i never played 2 guitars in GHIII). you are definitely correct on the 2nd part.

In GH3, you can also play with 2 people/guitars in co-op mode, where one plays lead guitar and the other plays bass/rhythm guitar, each of whom can set their own difficulty. You can play a face-off (duel) mode where you play against each other (different difficulty), and a pro-face off mode (both same difficulty). I think there's also a battle mode where you can get certain power-ups that you use to attack your opponent.
