IMO, this is a barebones system with barebones components... the LCD is barely worth $100. Maybe worth it for internet browsing, but not much more at all; except maybe to cannibalize some of the parts.

How did you sweet talk that gentleman into waiving your shipping fee?

I configured it with a 24" monitor and the tax and shipping came out to about $185 which killed it for me.

I also added a 2nd 160 Gig hard drive with 4 gigs of ram. I need it for a small business server. I noticed you can't change it to gigabit Ethernet either.

I take it back. The default shipping was next day air. I got free freight.

They are saying no "free shipping" unless each machine is over $499. Tried 2 phone reps. Advice?

Got the free shipping by being nice to the Dell rep, who was in Tennessee, not overseas.
Added option for 2.4ghz ($20) + 250gb ($10) + 20 inch screen ($40).
Used 5% coupon.
Also took off the anti virus trial ware- glad they finally have that option.
Total shipped (shipping not until 12/2 though) $411.
Monitor worth $200 give or take, so by time I get it will be worth $150 .
so I figure the box with the $30 upgrade to about $250 and the screen for about $160 including tax and delivery.
If these get any cheaper, it won't be worth searching for deals any more.
