ashVID said:You guys are missing the real deal here. Is there ANYWHERE that you can get a 47" 1080p TV that does 120mhz for less than DOUBLE the price listed? Just pulled the trigger on one myself, not sure what I will do with it though but the more I looked around, it is the best deal on a TV with those features by a large margin.

I would NOT risk buying one of those 1 cent tvs, getting some piece of crap, and not being able to get more than 1 cent back because shipping costs are nonrefundable. Only way to do it is a chargeback on your cc

There are better deals to be had on a budget over in the NEW sets. Sure, a couple of them are old school rear projection, another is DLP, but worth a look.

The 20" is 800x600 while the 15" is 1024x768 - go figure!

Update:

Here's the Amazon link for more info. No HDMI/component as suspected and only 1 review with 1 star. I would avoid all the cheap ones for sure:
http://www.amazon.com/Remanufactured-Magnavox-15MF170V-15-LCD/dp/B000ANNMWA

The 20" is ED but the 15" is technically HD as it can do 720p.

Maybe I should revise this post title, the $0.01 TVs are not the real "deal" here. Once again, the deal on the 47" 120Hz TV is untouchable. I would think an HDTV with all the latest bells and whistles for $899 that was $2899 6 months ago and never been cheaper than $1600 would qualify as hot... but that's just me.

Yeah, I'd change the title to make it clearer. If the deal here is really $.01 TV's, then it'd be hot. But there are no real $.01 TV deals here, just misleading pricing* by Philips on small TV's and great prices for the big ones. I'd put the specs/prices of the 47" in the title, since that seems to be the 'real' deal here.

* The FCC disclaimer makes it obvious that they're being misleading with the pricing. Since they can't legally sell it to consumers, they're going to 'recoup' the costs of $150 shipping on a 20" LCD tv. Since it doesn't cost nearly $150 to ship such a small TV, it's just a way to try to get around the FCC rules. They're not recouping pricing, as much as they'd like to claim they are. Ask yourself this; if you saw an eBay deal for a refurb 20" LCD tv for $0.01 + $149.99 shipping, would you think they were just recouping their shipping costs? Or would you think they were manipulating their shipping costs to make their prices seem lower? Same thing here, for different reasons.

BTW, nice deal for the 47" tv's. Very tempting...

I tried all kinds of discount codes (not shipping) ...none of them worked.

FYI, both my TVs shipped today, the 47" Ambilight and the 15" HD. Total for both was just over $1000 shipped, that is over 60% off retail and less than half the lowest listed price anywhere in the last few months.

Got both TVs today, perfect condition, just as new. The 47" looks very close to my expensive Sammy panel and the kids are loving the 15" in the play room. Despite the reds, this is without a doubt, the best deal on LCDs right now.

OOS on the 47" ambilight..
(one web site said that this model is no longer in production,
and the last ship date was Oct 2008.)

Non-ambilight version is still live, still 1080P and 120hz.
