If it is available in your zip code (it is for me in southern MN), then don't forget ebates 4% CB and use an AMEX simply cash CC for 5% CB since it should count as office supplies. Also, there are $30 off $150 1time use coupons floating around if you can find one on eBay or wherever

extra cost to buy additional Client Licenses
does it really limit to one without additional licenses?
yeah thats why i spent $300 on my inspiron 530 that loads 2008 X64 Hyper-V server Dell oem; the whole point of getting away from XP or Vista was the stupid connection limits

It is not possible to add additional CALs. 10 is what is included with WHS and that is the limit.

Thanks op - the girlfriend's computer just crashed out and reminded us how much we need something to backup our computers. I've been tempted, but thought I could build something cheaper. At this price, I don't think building my own is worth the trouble...
I just bit on this myself. $330 shipped. WHS goodness!

Hey if you are really ambitious, take a look at this Popcorn Hour + Mediasmart, where someone crammed a popcorn hour Media streamer into this thing for the ultimate media tank!!
Thanks OP. I almost pulled the trigger last week at HP Home Store for $369, but this beats that! Got myself a home server now to put in my 1TB drives from the other FW deal (11/13) with CompUSA!!!
Got mine delivered today - already set up and running... cool, my zip 10308...
i also used a $30 off 150 coupon that comes in the mail once per month to get one for 269 with free shipping. Awesome deal! Now i just need drives to fill it with...
Bummer that you can only use 1 GC online (and this is ONLINE order only), as I would have been able to get this w/ ZERO cash down....but $170 out of pocket is DEF not bad!
Seems dead at Staples (removed from website but available if you call for Item 727087). I tried to get a pricematch to OM but was declined as OM no longer shows it as available for shipping to my zip code, and item is listed as discontinued.
Good luck to those who get it.

I have been searching for about a week now to find a reasonably priced NAS and yesterday saw this deal. Had to jump on it. Great price/features. Now, I'll have to wait for BF to buy some 1TB gressn drives.

Can those of you who have been able to order post your zip codes? Does anyone know if Office Max will accept an order if the zip code of the shipping address differs from the zip code used to order? (discontinued in NJ / NYC area )

You forgot the most popular one. http://www.mediasmartserver.net This site was started by lead HP test engineer on the HP Home Server project and contains a lot of insight into HP's design thinking and the future of HP Home servers and WHS from an insider.
