kzookid said:Would anyone recommend, or not to use these with xbox 360 wireless controller? I'm new to the rechargaeble concept and see these at a great price for many applications. I use the cases to put AA in the back of the controller.
I don't know about this particular brand, but I know someone that uses Rayovac Hybrids in their 360 controller and they work well.

As far as Tenergy, after a couple years trying, I finally talked my mom into ordering some regular rechargables last year, and I showed her the Tenergy at allbattery, because of price. Turns out about 1/3 of them seem to be bad.

Reported that the code doesn't work on any order under $25 now. I haven't verified this (yet).

I received the batteries. Popped 4 of them into the LaCrosse BC-900 charger and all read 1.28V (same reading that I received from Eneloops fresh out of the pack at work on the same charger). Running them through a double refresh cycle and will report findings on them later.

1st set of batteries (4) numbers (after running twice on LaCrosse charger):

2490 mAH
2210 mAH
2210 mAH
2240 mAH

Seems about right on the money to me! ;

Good, bad, mediocre, it's out of stock so the response to the deal, at least, was good...

if you have costco membership, Sanyo eneloop now have $9 off coupon, you get smart charger (100-240v input), 8 AA and 2 AAA eneloop batteries, 4 C/D battery adapters for $19.99 after coupon with costco return policy!

Actually, they sent out a Black Friday 15% off code "blackfriday", so the price is $21.99 - 15% off = $18.69. I ended up biting on this myself yesterday. Code is valid through today (30 Nov).

Item link is http://www.all-battery.com/cardnimhaa2300mahreadytouser2urechargeablebatteries3cardstotal24xaa.aspx.

When I went back to look at it just now, I don't seem to see anything about free shipping. But when I ordered yesterday I assumed there was, and just went through the checkout that way, and it seemed to be free (I was charged $18.69). Whatever the case, if this does not work for you, there is also apparently blanket $2.49 shipping for any weight/quantity of items. So if you have to use that, the total will be ~$21 vs. the $20 from during the week.

Slightly correcting myself here, but the link above is for six 4-packs of the R2U AA batteries--the charger is not included like for the original link that started this thread off. That said, the original link is now out of stock, so this might be useful if you are just interested in the batteries itself like I am.

IMO, much better deal. I confirmed the free shipping (must click the link about free shipping and then select it again via check box). The chargers are junk, IMO.

Got mine today...will try them out tonight in the wii.

Just got mine in today's mail, and the buggers sent me their regular NiMH rechargeables (i.e. their 2600mAh capacity light blue ones with the dark blue base) instead of the LSD version. I will write them about a swap/RMA now which I expect to be completely on their dime. This is frustrating, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a simple mixup provided that their customer service does not give me a battle about the swap/RMA. I'll report back here about how it goes, but I'm not expecting a reply till Monday or Tuesday given it's now the weekend.

If you are not familiar with their batteries, and placed an order for this deal, I caution you to make sure you got the white batteries with the orange base which are their LSD version, and not the light/dark blue combo ones.

I have purchased these batteries before, NEVER AGAIN! 1/3 of the batteries died after one charged and could not be charged anymore. I NEVER got a response from customer service. Bad, bad investment.

I have also purchased these batteries from them (six 4-packs in May of this year, so 24 total), and they have worked great. Just as good as my Rayovac Hybrids and "Duraloops" (i.e. white-topped Duracell LSDs that are made in Japan, and are thought to be Eneloop relabels). I used this first set of LSDs extensively this summer (basically every day) for several weeks, and as I said, they worked great. I have continued to use them since then, but less intensively, and they've always maintained a charge like I've expected. I don't doubt that others have had problems--that happens with anything that is mass-produced and sold cheaply. But in my experience, these LSD batteries work great, and with 24 pieces at $18.69, they are phenomenally priced. That's why I decided to order another batch of 24.

Their RMA policy says they'll pay for return shipping if they send the wrong item, so definitely seems like this will be on their dime. See http://www.all-battery.com/requestrma.aspx.
So this is just an inconvenience to have to deal with this, but as you all know bargain hunting is often filled with inconvenience, and generally doesn't pay for itself at the same rate as an hourly wage...

alert mods

I purchased 3x6x4 packs of these LSD batteries- haven't used the included chargers (won't) yet so I can't comment on them.

I've tested about half of the cells so far through my two BC-900 LaCrosse Chargers. They're coming in between 1.95 and 2.20 Ah- the 1.95 was the lowest and the highest is around 2.4 Ah. I'll have a completed table as soon as I'm done.

Each battery gets refreshed and charged at 1A, .5C discharge. This is the initial work-thru. I'll report back on how the capacity changes with time, but so far at less than 1$ per cell this was a good deal.

alert mods

For people who's testing the capacity of the battery with their BC-900 LaCrosse, you need to test at the slowest discharge rate to get the real rating. The higher discharge rate, the lower capacity you will get. The standard discharge rate might be 0.1C for capacity measurement, but I am not 100% sure. There are so much misinformation here so just want to point out in case people are wondering about the discrepancies.

alert mods

My first 4 (of 24) of these have so far refreshed to 1900~2000mAh each (in my BC-900 at the lowest charge/discharge rate) -- one of them was stuck at ~1200mAh for a couple of refresh cycles so I highly recommend using a LaCrosse charger with these.

NEVER AGAIN!
got mine in today. they sent the regular NiMH 2600mAh. Customer service told me I have two options:
1)keep the batteries, not open them until end of January, send them back in January for replacement
2)send them back for refund + shipping refund.

their regular batteries are crap!
I like the first option

alert mods

I bought the package with 12 AA RTU and 12 AAA RTU and charger. They sent regular NIMH AA batteries instead of the RTU ones, so it is the same story with guys above. What bothers me is that they dont notify you this and just send it to you and tell you that it is a higher quality item. I called them and was offered the same option as guys above. Do they have any idea how long the line is at this time of the year just to ship back a pack of battery?

alert mods

They have not responded to my exchange request yet, but the idea that they substituted in their 2600 mAh regular NiMHs without asking is simply unacceptable. They must know that they get a bad rap quite frequently, so to pull something like this is an idiocy. Whatever the case, it's clear they sent out the wrong item, and according to their very own RMA policy, they will foot the bill for return shipping. Regarding waiting till end January 2009, for me it's not a problem because this new batch was just going to be a backup set for me. But if you ordered these because you need them soon, well, this development sucks. And given the current economic climate with companies folding left and right, it is a bit unnerving having to wait ~2 months (end Nov-->end Jan) for something you paid for--will they even be around at that point?

alert mods

For the record, I also received six packs of the standard 2600mAh batteries. And I needed the R2U batteries for Christmas toys. It is dishonest for a company to intentionally ship out the wrong items instead of canceling an order. Accidents happen, but since there are several of us reporting the same situation, this is beyond coincidence. Like with rebates, they are banking on the fact that not everyone will return the lesser-quality batteries. I will never buy from All-Battery again, as this is very dishonest.
