Can everyone who's gone to your local Costco, please put your location and whether or not they were available. It would save the community gas. You can also call in.
Here is a little secret that some of you might already know. Do you see the asterisk on the top right corner of the sign. That is an indicator that this item is pending delete and the .97 means that particular warehouse has marked the item down. So this is very ymmv - costcoinsider

they do not have these anymore at either the poway or carmel mtn costco in san diego. at least i have not seen them for a while. wonder if they let you use the $9 coupon?
I think these have been sitting there for a while, as in not a new addition. Is that the "power pack" next to it in the picture...there were tons of those....
It is a Costco 1/2 price clearance sale for discontinued item. There was a similar deal for Costco Wash-N-Rinse spray gun which was selling for $14.95 in the summer, $9.95 five weeks ago and $4.95 now in Costco system. The catch is only if you can find those items in the warehouse.
I've been watching them for a while to see if they'd be clearanced. I finally broke down and just bought them last week even though the shelf tag said $14.50 which is full price. When I went through the register they were $12.97 . I'll scan them next time I'm there to see if they dropped but Costco clearance varies store to store. This was Dedham, MA

.97/.98 Costco pricing is NOT clearance pricing and SKU# 247265 is not a clearance item. The OPs item is a new item for Costco and has only been available since September. Perhaps you are thinking of the older Eneloop battery only pack that Costco sold which inluded 6 x AAs and 4 x AAAs? That one originally sold for $19.97 and was clearanced out over the summer? I saw those for as low as $6.50 in a few SW Costcos where we get their salvage.
