I bought PS3 from Target store using playstation card on 12/5/08, registerd my card on Sony rewards last week and today I got email from Sony rewards which had link to $150 MIR form (i had to login to my Sony rewards account to get to that MIR). I filled it up, printed it and will be sending to the address on it alongwith copy of Target receipt.

Hmm, that's what I'm waiting for but haven't got (I have the same dates as you and also got mine at Target). Did you have to contact them at all for this?

I have a bad feeling they mixed up my offer, instead they just sent me a $150 coupon code off their Sony site to order it...did you get that?

I called Sony Rewards around 12/12 to check what is needed for the $150 MIR, they connected me to Chase bank. Chase bank representitive told me to wait for the email from Sony rewards and thats what I did. I did not get any coupon from Sony or Chase except for an e-mail from Sony rewards with "welcome to Sony cards" message.

Sony is the best company

When did you get the B1G1 code. I ordered mine Wednesday ans still haven't received the code or link for the B1G1.

Same here. I haven't received the email with B1G1 instructions either

My email for the buy one get one free blu-ray movies came about 4 days after I got a playstation card. The movie selection is lame so I dont think anyone should get too excited because all of the prices are up in the $30-40 range (not even close to what you can get them for anywhere else)...

also i ordered my PS3 80 GB on the 15th through Sony rewards and just called tonight to see if it was shipped, the rep said it had been on the 19th and that we could maybe expect it by the week of the 29th! so slowwww i say, he said shipped via USPS so maybe it won't be that long...

I got no confirmation email and both sonyrewards.com and my chase account says that the order is 'processing'

Anyone receive the 150 credit back from Playstation Sony Card yet while ordering the PS3 through a Sony retail store such as Wal-Mart?

alert mods

I got my card, bought the system at Target, was told by Sony I did it wrong, no discount. I called Sony and told them about their Link stating I could purchase it an authorized dealer, that I had called twice to Sony to make sure, both times they yes its ok from Target, be deducted from statement, Sony stills says its my fault, no discount, only works through Sony Rewards.

Can I use my old Sony card for this offer?

1. http://www.sonyrewards.com/en/gateway/?offerlink=sr150nowps3

a. Apply for the Playstation credit card.

b. Receive the credit card number and CVV2 number upon approval.

b. Purchase a PS3 (using the account and CVV2 numbers) at sonyrewards/SonyStyle and get $150 instant credit.

c. You will also be eligible for a B1G1 Blu-Ray movie

I followed these directions, but I was not credited the $150. Now I think I'm screwed.

Anyone get there system from Sony Rewards yet? How was it delivered(USPS, UPS, FED EX)? I see on my e-mail it could take up to 2 weeks to ship! I ordered on Dec. 24 and was hoping to get it before i am off vacation on Jan 5. How long is taking everyone else?

alert mods

My PS3 was delivered in 7 days, Dallas area.

OK, I got my system today on 1/2/09. So 9 days with 2 holidays in there is not bad at all. I got my card in the mail today also, but I did not even open it up yet.
Happy playing to all! And I think we did the right thing because alot of people are scared of not getting the $150 after buying from Dell.

on what B&M could you guys get it cheaper? I'm thinking about using live CashBack to get 5% off at Circuit City.

harrymohan said:Very true, I believe after March 2009 Sony will cut the prices of PS3 may be it will cost 299. That's why they have this scheme going on Sony CARD one till March so that after that they can sell PS3 for 299 and Card discount doesn't get credited after March 2009 purchases!

Two different way to try to go to the article turn up empty. Maybe the powers to be at Sony got to the powers to be at CNN with their advertising budget directions?

If it is true that Sony will cut price by $100, the $150 discount and have the PS3 now will still be a good deal, unless the new lower priced PS3 would also contain additional new features. The only thing I could think that they would do relatively at little to no cost to them is to offer bigger hard drives like the 160GB. You can take the extra $50 you'd save and buy a 250GB or a 320GB and still come out ahead with this deal. If only I didn't wait for the card to be approved and jumped on on the Dell deal...

Does anyone know if this deal is still valid?
