but the fact that ps3 plays bluray makes it more tempting. I get games for my 360, and only buy games on PS3 if they wont be out for 360 and also use the ps3 as a bluray player. |

I'm pretty sure the 60GB is a misprint and it is the new non PS2 capable 80GB which is listed. Sony hasn't made the 60GB full PS2 compatible/SACD unit for over a year. The MSRP of the 60GB unit was $599 and it never sold for much under $500 even when you could find one. A new/mint 60GB unit on eBay often goes for a major premium. Initial release in 2006 was for the 20 and 60 which were backward compable via Hardware. At the end of 2007 these were d/c and replaced with 40 (non PS2 compatible) and the 80GB (partially backward compatible via software). Now the latter appears to be phased out for the non backward compatible 80GB unit and the premium 160Gb unit which I'm pretty sure is not PS2 capable. |

So basically I can buy the PS3 at any Sony retail store such as WalMart and I can get the 150 instant credit back? |

So I can purchase the PS3 at any authorized Sony store and get the 150 cash credit instantly, so if I purchase it at Wal Mart that qualifies? |

Now I'm just wondering if there are any free Blu-ray movie promo out there for purchasing the PS3. You're not reading it right. You are assuming tax is already included. Doesn't state that anywhere! What it does state is "Sales Tax: Assessed on catalog price before use of points" and currently they don't show any. Everyone will have total of $283.50. So tax is not there yet; but like I said, hopefully no additional charges will appear. If it does, it will be on the $399 * your tax rate + $283.50. In Cali, LA approx $32.92 extra. So total cost might be $316.42. |

I did this last year when it was the Sony Rewards card and $100 off. The card takes about a week or two to get and then the $100 credit was applied almost instantly after the purchase of the PS3. I bought my PS3 at Wallmart because they had $100 gift card if you buy a PS3. This deal is great though. Best bluray player out there. |
