EDIT: Here we are on 01/05/09 and it looks many (most?) of the "fifty for $5" MP3 albums at Amazon are still $5 each--though not all--as one poster below points out, the Al Green isn't and I saw that the Ratatat album isn't, so, if what you want is still $5, it probably is not wise to wait

I've changed things to make life easier -- each album has a direct link, just click it to get to the album's page, where you'll be able to read each album's reviews, listen to track-samples and/or click a purchase-button.

Enjoy.

Nice job OP

Sweet. Thanks.

Thanks, OP. Link didn't work for me but based on the list I got a few albums I missed out on earlier.

Will these to work on your IPOD?

Ive not specifically d-loaded any of these albums from Amazon, but I have purchased 2 others that worked flawlessly on my Ipod classic. You shouldn't have any issue what so ever with them.

The MP3 download program from Amazon put's 'em right in your itunes library. Twice the bitrate at a fraction of the price and NO DRM!

If you didn't pick up Radiohead's In Rainbows when they were giving it away for free, the $5 is completely worth it. This album's really grown on me and every track on it's solid.

the walkmen album you and me is fantastic

That link isn't quite right either...Try this link, which I got from the main MP3 download page.

If it doesn't work for you, just go the main MP3 download page and click the link that says "50 albums for $5 each".

I'll update my original post.

Just to give this a bump, since it still seems to be alive, contrary to what the Amazon MP3 Twitter page said, which was that it'd be good only through CyberMonday--here it is early Wed. morning and it's still active.

Another bump, given that the albums still seem to be on sale for $5 each today, 12/09/08.

I've also added direct links to the albums.

Enjoy.

awesome post OP even if its a few weeks old.... i didn't catch this thread till the bump

hm... embarrassed to say that the first thing I thought of when I saw this was Ricky Martin, not Coldplay. I guess I'm stuck in 1999.

I am right there with ya, I thought the same think, oh how I love the 90's music.

That would be "La Vida Loca", not Coldplay's "Viva La Vida"

(BTW, I bought the "Viva La Vida" download a week ago or so--it's a good album, even if it is the top 2008 best-seller
It's got some neat stuff going on--perhaps, in part, because Brian Eno produced it).

nice. got the chris tomlin album with the pepsi pts.

Ten days later and the deal is still going strong...so, once again: ba-dum-bump.

Here we are, Dec. 24, and the deals are still good--go get 'em.

Looking through the list, today and many but not all songs are $5. Al Green is now $9.49. Better hurry if you see one you like!

Thanks for pointing this out--it looks like at least a few have gone up in price, including the aforementioned Al Green album as well as the Ratatat album. But others that I spot-checked are still $5, so if you want them, I'd suggest getting them now (frankly, I'm amazed they're still so cheap, given that the deal was supposed to end (at least this is what Amazon said on their Twitter) on Cyber Monday (i.e. the Monday after Thanksgiving).

So, again, if you want 'em, go get 'em.
