I think the deal is supposed to be for 4GB CF and 4GB SD as their graphic states. I think they screwed up somewhere on the back end, they need to re-associate this deal with the correct item. |

I am sure the deal is supposed to be for CF and SD, unlike what I was told through online chat. But, if you order right now, you can bet on getting a 3 pack of 2GB SD cards, which means no rebate. Wait until they correct it later. |

Here's the deal... If they haven't sold out yet, they are not going to be sold out later either. So best to wait until it's all sorted out. |

These things happen all the time. Anyone who knows how to change a web page, could have corrected these kinds of error VERY quickly. While I have no way of knowing the competence of mult-million dollar companies, like Ritz, to hire someone to quickly change a web page, I hope I am allowed to speculate, that these are simply calculated ways of doing business. In any case, rather than begging Ritz and hoping they 'quickly' do the RIGHT thing (ha ha), simply call your credit card company NOW, or email NOW, and register a formal DISPUTE. The magic word here is DISPUTE. That will prevent monies being transferred to Ritz (unless they use other names, and they might). Whenever there are large rebates, something smells. What legitimate company wants to go thru the added administrative expense of rebate handling? Why not honestly quote the bottom line price and be done with it? The answers are NOT nice, so I won't document them here. |

People advocating constant chargebacks and credit card disputes because they are not getting their way on orders that haven't even processed make me sick. This kind of consumer abuse costs merchants a ton of money. Ritz is obviously having an issue with their backend system. It's also likely that some of their normal staff might be *GASP* off today for the holiday. I pity those customer service guys getting abused and threatened by customers like you today. So go have fun, abuse their staff, threaten chargebacks / disputes for orders that haven't shipped yet and after you finish spreading that holiday cheer to them, go enjoy your day off. Or simply cancel your order and be polite about it. At this point, anyone that has read this thread knows they are having issues with one of the products involved. Common sense points to it being an honest mistake on their part. |

Well, I have the same (2GB SD card) on my order but a pdf print of my order page says clearly 4GB. I will wait and fight it out later. At least I will get free shipping for my other CF card order based on this SD card order! |

optapollo said:Don't u guys notice the product numbers on the form and on the website don't match. The rebate still qualified? I've done one of these before with Sandisk and Adorama the numbers were slightly off, but the product was clearly the same, wouldn't worry about it. If they send you the 2gb, then I'd worry. My local Wolf has 1 set of the SD in stock and like 6 of the CF for tomorrow. So if you head out to the store It could be a hit or miss, BUT: You could try placing an order with Wolf/Ritz if they out of stock (in-store). We do it all the time for cameras and I would assume for any deals in the Wolf/Ritz, so if someone else sells out and won't order it, Wolf/Ritz is worth a shot. |

If you bothered to read this thread you would have noticed: 1- I did NOT order this ... just gave a heads up based on PAST experience. 2- Others docmumented PAST experience. In any case, you have a happy thanksgiving, and the same to all FWers here. PEACE. |

Said the sheep when she saw the wolf wearing, well, sheep's clothing: "maybe the poor thing's cold. why don't we invite him in?" Edit: Clarify on my part - honest mistake does not equal to simply bad management, bad reviewing processes and bad customer service. I mean that it was not an intentional bait and switch. Ok. So what does Ritz get out of this by sending 2GB cards instead of 4GB ones? Consumer bad will. Legitimate charge backs for shipping wrong item (valid ones I might add if they ship 2GB and people paid for 4GB) Negative topics and posts like this one that hurt future sales. Additional expenses due to shipping / processing returns for the wrong item delivered Additonal labor costs to handle phone / chat / inventory / billing changes associates with said returns / issues I simply can not see any positive for them from this. When there is a rebate involved and they have invested money to promote the item and sale it makes zero sense to then destroy your own promotion by substituting different inferior products that won't qualify for the rebate. It's not one of those scumbag offers involving a camera selling for half price but you then get suckered in to buy the $150 battery, $75 charger, $35 shoulder strap that NYC fleabag merchants are famous for. |

If its a honest mistake, they will correct it and ship the right product. If they ship the wrong product, ask them to take it back at their cost. Worst case scenario - you have to ship it back at your cost which wont be more than a couple of bucks. Of course you can always dispute it with your credit card company (just dont use PayPal to pay). |
