I guess since they do business out of Hong Kong, they have their prices pegged to a currency exchange system. So that would explain the constant changes! I love when I answer my own questions... umm.. no... it's supply and demand. Not selling enough? Lower the price. Selling like hotcakes? Raise it up a little. |

The DSTT "Offical Site" can be found HERE You'll see the info about fakes and find some needed software as well. Now if anyone wants to PM me with info on ROMS, it would be much appreciated... |

freshair3 said:Hehe. I don't really understand what this does but I am sure my son will know what to do with it and it makes a great stocking stuffer. In for 1.Hello, I just bought one for my nephew and thought you could use a little help... You need to also get him a micro-SD card to load the game ROMs onto, and the adapter to connect to your computer to access the card, assuming you don't already have them. In addition to the ones already mentioned in this thread, HERE is one example of a 2GB microSD and USB adapter in one. Also a little cheaper HERE. Next, he will need to find the game ROMs themselves. If he's comfortable with the internet he can probably manage on his own. Many people use a file sharing app like e-mule or bit-torrent to acquire them*. *Downloading copyrighted ROMs is still illegal so warn him. Finally, you need the menu software to go on the micro-SD card for it to run properly. Available from the DSTT site or one of the many general purpose sites like HERE Oh, also, THIS review may help setting up and using the DSTT card if the details on the DSTT site need expanding on. One note to all, be warned these could be knockoffs. The problem with fakes is they're usually made cheaper and more likely to fail or to have future problems with upgraded software/firmware from the manufacturer. DealExtreme uses lots of suppliers and offers knockoffs sometimes because they're cheaper and usually work fine. It's just an issue in this case because they guarantied to check them all as genuine, but people still keep reporting cards that are fake according to the DSTT website. |

The cheap ones were sometimes found to be clones. Clones do not always accept firmware updates. You can't do much with them if they aren't firmware updated. Find the manf's site & see if they are still being updated. Requires a microsd card or hcsd card to work. |

I ordered this on 11/20 for $7.xx and it arrived on 12/1, so should be in time for xmas if order is placed now. Worked great. I loaded up 4 sudoku games on it and gave it to my dad, along with my old beat-up DS lite, so that he won't lose any game cards. He was so happy. |

So I have an R4 I bought two years ago (or a long time, can't remember exactly when) for like $60 and its fine except its limited to 2GB cards and I have, ahem, a lot of backup ROMs. Will this give me the same functionality as my R4 except I'll now be able to use a 8GB card? Ejecting the little SD card and putting it back into my R4 is always an experience since half the time it gets stuck or isnt seated right. |

Do you still need the large (3"?) adapter piece (that goes in the back of the DS) for this card to plug in to? I ask, because a friend has an EZFlash and it came with both the card and adapter. I'm talking the piece that looks like the rumble packs (ex. http://www.DealExtreme.com/details.dx/sku.2953) |

It would be nice not to have to mess with all the cartridges. |

I have one, bought at $20 plus. It appears that it doesn't work properly with Kingston 2G microSD (stop loading). It works perfectly with crucial cards. DX also sells other stuff, like LED flashlights. |
