Bought 4 on the 28th. They arrived today. I got no fakes, and all appear to work fine with all 3 of my 4GB cards (1 PQI and 2 Kingston). I have to say, unless something goes south with these cards - I am very impressed. My children will have all their games on one card, and they'll never have to take it out. (And if they lose it I'm only out about $20!). Plus for some games they can get cheats to adjust games to their liking and/or skill level. Pretty neat.

I bought two back in march, they had both been working fine up until I reloaded them a week ago. Also put the latest firmware on them and one went bye-bye. Ordered a new one shipped from the us for alot more money and one from DX just to have as a cheap backup (kids can't be without their ds', especially when the siblings still works). These are a little flimsy and dstt manufacturer has made threats that they will cripple the fakes at some point which dx is a prime seller of fakes in the past. I'm not sure what happened to the one that is flaking (it boots about 1 in 10 times, the rest the screen is really faded white and the card never loads). Swapped sd card when the new one came and was back up and running. As the poster above said, this is great for people with small kids, or for older adults. It's very easy to use (my 4 year old can operate it as well as my 50 year old mother-in-law). The only thing you have to worry about is kids trading cards, almost lost one of the cards to a hannah montana trade. |

I ordered 3 on 12/5/08 (thanks OP). I have a tracking number, but the status still says "packaging". Hopefully they'll get shipped out in time to get to Wisconsin before x-mas. |

I ordered one DSTT on Dec. 3rd. The tracking website from HK post office says that the package left HK on the 9th. I hope it takes about 7~10 more days to start testing it. Cheers! Update 12/17 Got it today. I opened it and compared the guts against fakes in http://ndstt.com/en/anti_fake.html It looks good. I just installed English version of OS v1.16 and moonshell v1.17 Everything is working. I still have not been able to make the soft reset work (Soft reset can be performed by pressing A+B+X+Y+L+R in-game). I also have R4DS and M3 DS Real, and functionality seems to be the same. I'm still unable to watch videos or movies with any of them. I must not be using the correct encoding software. Any ideas? |

barreg said:Dumb question, but how do I backup my games to get them onto a microSD card to begin with? I haven't had much luck searching online. You got to understand that "back up games" is just a euphemism for pirated games. You don't actually back up games you already owned but download games that others has already pirated which is illegal and any further discussions would be frowned upon by the mods. |

Just an update with my experience. I ordered the two DSTT cards in similar packaging that cost $6.xx. One of the ones mentioned here (item 15613), and the other with the CNDSTT name (item 18119). I loaded some ROMs and the v1.16 DSTT menu on a 2GB Crucial uSD and used it with both. At first, both started up perfectly and worked the same. But I realized right away that the CNDSTT card had some issues as it only loads all the way to the DSTT menu about one in four times for some reason. I read the posts and some other people mention the same problem, it seems to freeze usually while still loading the DS intro screens + health warning, leaving the two screens white. I'm not sure if it's a common problem with that card or rare, but 1 out of 1 for me doesn't seem encouraging. Back to the card mentioned in this thread, while it loads the DSTT menu fine every time, I eventually started noticing problems with certain games. For whatever reason, they stop loading part way along. I'm also 90% sure one of the games I was having a problem loading, one time loaded a completely different game instead, but it hasn't repeated so I'm not sure. I'm not sure it it's the DSTT card or the uSD card or some combination, but while most games load fine, some only load all the way every so often. Next I mean to test both with another uSD card and other ROMs and see if that makes a difference. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone trying a different menu version, or even moonshell for media playing! D. EDIT: There's now a 'fix' for cards damaged by the clone killer in the real v1.16 software. My CNDSTT card wouldn't load to the menu after I tried running that software on it, but the recovery program and dump file have fixed it now. I mention this in case anyone else had the same problem and threw their non-working CN-DSTT card in a drawer and forgot about it or something. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=124591

Ahhk said:Do you still need the large (3"?) adapter piece (that goes in the back of the DS) for this card to plug in to?
) No. Also as I mentioned sometimes clones can get cooked if you put official FW on them. But some Japanese guy made something more safe, its called YSmenu & you can get it on the net free. |

Revceived it yesterday. I ordered one. Works fine with Kingston 2gb. It took a while to "back up" but they work fine. Amazing. |

That was the fastest shipment ever from DX on this order with them. I received it this Monday. Also for issues with these cards it was also mentioned to ensure you re-format your SD flash into FAT32 if it's only formatted into FAT(16). Of lot of freezing/hanging issues are resolved by doing this. And of course after reformatting you need to put back all your data, so be sure you had it copied to your computer first |

I ordered 4 more couple of days ago. I loaded a 2gb and then 4gb (transcend from Newegg) with 50+ games; they all work fine. I now need to load Moonshell to play mp3. Wifi works as well. |

Great deal for $6. But if you want professional look and feel, get a Cyclo DS. |
