SiliconJon said:That was the fastest shipment ever from DX on this order with them. I received it this Monday.

Also for issues with these cards it was also mentioned to ensure you re-format your SD flash into FAT32 if it's only formatted into FAT(16). Of lot of freezing/hanging issues are resolved by doing this. And of course after reformatting you need to put back all your data, so be sure you had it copied to your computer first

That's interesting, I jsut read this morning on gbatemp that FAT16 is preferable because it is more stable and the interface runs faster. Not sure who to believe, but that seemed to be the consensus opinion in the thread I found. They were recommending the A-Data 4GB class 6 card for that reason since anything larger than 4GB requires FAT32.

Mine was freezing a lot. I reformat it to fat32. So far so good.. But I also took out moonshell. If it is just the format, I will put moonshell back in.

I hear the freezing has to do with the format, but not FAT16 vs. FAT32 necessarily. A lot of people have solved problems by using a specific card-formatting utility, the Panasonic util I belive that was mentioned previously in this thread.

Yes, you should reformat each time you put a lot of new stuff on it. This is the same for other cards that I have.

Will reformatting fix a video freezing issue? The games are playing fine and I converted an .avi file using DPG Tools and it started playing but the video froze and the audio continued. Anyone else had this problem? I'm using a 2gb PNY micro sd card. Thanks for your help...

I follow the instructions found here and have not had any problems over months of use and dozens of games:

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but don't put your ROMs directly in the root. Make a folder for ROMs or Games or whatever. The DSTT menu will search for all .nds files when it starts up so don't worry. DSTT seems to have problems sometimes where there are a good number of files in the root directory that can lead to corruption of the SD card.

Careful with that 'help' page. He links to an older software versions and haven't been updated in a while. You'll probably want a more recent version of the DSTT menu, like v1.15 or v1.16.

There are no 'DSTT' games. There are programs and games for the NDS, usually called ROMs. Most are copyrighted games and therefore requests for them is asking for someone to illegally share files. There are also Homebrew programs and games you can use on your DSTT. Try sites like GBAtemp.net or maybe http://www.dshomebrews.com/Homebrews.php.

This was way easier than I ever imagined. Works beautifully, and I even customized the skins to include my kids' faces. My 5 year old can work this thing & it looks pretty foolproof. And both cards I ordered were 100% geniune. Kudos to DX.

The dstt card is not a high quality product. For the price you cant beat it though. I currently have 3. 2 worked great out of the box and the other one didn't. The ds would not even know the card was in the slot. I had to put some scotch tape on the card on the oppositte side of the contacts to help push the card against the ds contacts better. This may be the same problem you were getting DesiNo1. I am buying one to replaced my taped up one.

Well, you didn't say what recommended instructions you followed, so a little hard to know what to suggest.
Did you even load the right menu software on the SD card first? (v1.1X from ndstt.com or other site)
Roms in their own folder (menu can have problems if all in root)?
Try formatting the SD card with the panasonic app like was mentioned earlier?
Take a close look at the DSTT card and make sure the contacts don't have glue from manufacturing on them, or that contacts for SD card aren't bent (hard to see).
If you don't mind possibly ruining the card, could also pry it open and make sure it's a genuine DSTT according to ndstt.com. (But current design is easy to spot with chip bulge showing under the sticker.

You sure it's a genuine DSTT though? There are a lot of clones out there and one of them I read about had that same problem with being too thin and having contact problems.

Is it easy to do on last Christmas dated console? My nephew hasn't touch his much after a couple of weeks after getting it last year and I am thinking about putting a mod chip in it.
