samvayn said: As was previously mentioned - pay attention to CPU - 900 comes with crippled Celeron while 900HA is Atom-based. I've been sitting here looking at benchmarks and reading reviews on the eee forums, real world performance seems to be quite similar despite a large clock difference. The only real compelling reason I see to go with the atom is for longer battery life. Thats probably important in a netbook but hey if you can save $50 and don't plan on being far from an outlet...
For >>>most users it is perfect. Those dunning it have it in their head the orginal Celeron of maybe 10 years ago.

the original celeron wasn't that bad after you overclocked it... If you mean the original celeron as in the cacheless celeron....oh yeah it was. If you mean the mendocino celeron where they put some cache on the stick...now that was nice. I think I still have my 300a laying around. With a gorb it ran at 464 which really helped out half life

wow, that really brings some memories back.... year was 1999, I bought a EPOX dual CPU (slot 1) motherboard, with 2 300a celerons on slot 1 adapters. ran the first week at 66mhz bus speed with no hs/fan(cuz it didn't come, and I was inpatient), but it ran really cool. week later, crank that puppy up to 100mhz (w/hs+fan of course) bus speed baby! result, dual 450mhz.
The 10% eBay coupon was only sent to some ebayers whom I believe havent made a purchase in a while. That's how I got one. Coupon codes are non transferable either.

Great deal OP! Just got my 900 a few days ago, but unfortunately I'm not too impressed. I thought the netbook thing was for me, but it turns out that I have little use for it. I'm probably going to sell mine on eBay and just get a small laptop. The reason I say this is for those who think they want to get on the netbook craze (like me) because netbooks are small, portable, and cool looking. Make sure you have a specific reason to use it. I was going to use mine for the few classes I have left and to write my dissertation, but I found the keyboard unusable for this specific purpose. To those looking to buy this netbook, remember... the keyboard is much smaller than standard keyboards, the processor is much slower than most everything else, and the battery life isn't fantastic without getting an obtrusive battery. I don't mean to rant about this deal, I just wanted to save someone the trouble I went through.
Great find OP and a great deal on a computer for those who really need it.
