Maybe you can explain why you could only buy 8 $75 card at Sears?

Max Discover paid out is (5X$20 = $100) as long as you spend atleast $1000
so that mean you can buy
14X$75 = $1050
You get
14X$10 = $140 in Sears GC
+
$100 in discover GC

So you would spend $1050 and get $1290, that's close to getting 20% off of your Sears purchase, this is not including any promotion Sears is running at the time of purchase.

P.S. if you search through the forum, someone else posted that you can purchase/reconsolidate GC at Sears with GC and you also get that $10 extra card as long as the purchase is over $75.

No, not according to the terms. They specifically say that only gift cards purchased with cash, check or credit card will be eligible for the reward card.

A while back, I purchase a Refrigerator with some gift cards and pay the remaining with the Sears CC. Set it for home delivery. But a couple days later I found a better deal at another store. Call and cancel and they put the whole balance back on my Sears CC. Might still work or not.
