What a great deal!! This item has been my nemesis this holiday season. My DD saw it in the Hammach Schlemmer catalog for 170 a year ago, and has been asking for it since. I have been looking for the best deal online for it, and bought it from a secondary seller for 107 shipped, supposedly in new condition. It arrived Monday, 2 weeks after placing the order, broken, scratched, and obviously used. After talking to 5 different people, I finally got a return shipping label. I was so anxious to get another one in time for Christmas that I immediately ordered one direct from Amazon for 99. After I saw this post, I called customer service and was told that there was nothing they could do about the change in price. How frustrating!!

I feel your pain, man. The recent elimination of Amazon self-pricematching has been one of the greatest blows to internet deal-making in the last few years, exceeded only by the cancellation of BVG by AMEX, and JokerSmoker's resignation from FatWallet.

Not to sound dumb, but how do I refuse it if I'm not home when it is delivered?

Then you could ask for returning the order. It is free if you pick the reason as you find a lower price.

just put a note on the door, "UPS, please refuse package #1ZRSFODHSFPDHSFD" or call UPS and tell them to refuse delivery and hopefully they'll catch it before it's delivered

got burned by the recent change myself on a tomtom gps, bought the gps at 150 a week later went on sale for 100, called cust support, told me about the new policy then proceeded to tell me to return the one i bought for 150 and buy it again for 100, of course by the time i got off the phone, it went out of stock...very frustrating...
anyway back to the thread at hand... i could not resist, just had to have one!

I bought left 4 dead few weeks ago from Amazon for 40 dollars then they had it for 20 bucks on black friday. I bought it for 20 bucks on black friday and I am returning that one with the 40 dollar order since they dont adjust anymore.
Thanks OP. I pulled the trigger last night. This will be the last "kid" toy for my 13 1/2 year old son. He has built most of the Star Wars Legos which cost as much or more than the $69 I spent on this toy. Too bad Amazon upped the price back to $99. You might want to watch this video on the R2D2 attempt at being the "Rockets": R2D2
I wonder how many of these this guy added last night!!!

Yup, looks like it's back to $99.99 now. Keep an eye on it though, Amazon has been moving their prices like crazy this year, on many things, not just this guy...
