ZipCar has been emailing existing members with $25 driving credits. This thread will try to consolidate them to cut down on re-posts. The codes have the format DriveNow___, where ___ is an abbreviation for a geographical location (or in one case, the format is DriveNow___####). This will not be a thread for other types of driving credits (e.g. bonuses for new member sign-ups).
These will give you the credit to your account no matter what area you are in. (Update: see below)
Fine Print (from ZipCar email) said:This driving credit will expire December 17, 2008 at 11:59pm. The credit must be used before then and does not count for reservations made after that date and time. For me, the codes expire in 15 days from the time I entered them.
Update (12/08/2008): It looks like ZipCar is removing credits from accounts that don't qualify for them. Use the above codes at your own risk. You could end up paying full price.

Yes, existing members only. Sorry for the confusion. OP updated.
Code: WEBPHILLY75 Discount: $75 in driving credits added to your account when you enter this code during new member signup. Worked for me, even signing up outside of the Philadelphia area. Credit to seodude at Fatwallet.com.

Thanks Evil! But I am going to take a chance and wait until next week to try this..at this time I don't know how I am going to use my current $125 credits by Dec 20! Hopefully by next week we might have codes for other cities too!
BTW, Does anyone know whether we have to reserve by the credit expiration date OR completed our driving? I don't want to call the customer service to avoid issues!
No fine print other than that the credit has to be used within 15 days? I'm hesitant to use the credit today and risk being hit with a $65 charge on Monday because the codes weren't sent specifically to me...

Also a bit bummed that I never legitimately got a code. I zip around frequently enough and spend on average $100-$150/mo..
Maybe they're targeting zipsters who don't use the service very frequently, to try and get them hooked...
No. It is incorrect. When they bill it, they will deduct the charges from the existing credit (if we have any) first before they bill the credit card. At least that is what happened to me last timw when I reserved for 3 hours and had credit for $65. They did not charge my credit card.

I am not sure whether we have to be that skeptical about it since all it says is "Credit: December Driving". And i believe since the code we used here to get credit seems more like a general promo code.
What I am planning to do now before I use $125 credit is to just reserve for an hour first and see how it works. If I don't run into any issue, they I will probably book for a day to have some fun with my family.

It worked for me. Thanks, OP! Thanks! It worked for me too. I've updated the OP.

It looks like driving has to be completed by the expiration date. The fine print that noANANDforme pasted from the email says:
ZipCar Email said:But you gotta hurry. This driving credit will expire December 17, 2008 at 11:59pm. The credit must be used before then and does not count for reservations made after that date and time. (He received his email on Dec 3rd, so 15 days from then would be Dec 18th, but I guess ZipCar's computer system can only make expiration dates relative to the time entered, instead of absolutely on a certain date?
