Coupled with the Sony Card, this can get you a good deal on the PS3, if you missed out on the earlier 20% off code.

Dell Home 15% off Select Electronics & Accessories code: ?3WZ2B199QH53J (Exp 12/19).

Thanks! Finally got my CC in the mail yesterday and of course all the other coupons had expired!

how long did it take to get the cc ?

Doesn't stack on top of normal discounts. They have the Xbox 360 Pro for $299 normally. When I applied this coupon, they took off the normal discount, and applied this 15% off, and it came to $305.

I used it for the PS3, from $399 it come to $339.99 + tax and free shipping. And hopefully with the $150 rebate from Sony (used the Sony CC), effective price shoudl be around $200.

Xbox elite for $299? Surely that's a typo!

I've tried this coupon with the Xbox Pro and even with 15% discount by the time you pay tax it is still cheaper to got the eBay route at a mere 8% which kinda sucks!

FYI to anybody who is looking to stack with the CC. I called sonyrewards and they said that the if you got the credit card from the application on sonyrewards, then only a purchase of a PS3 at sonyrewards is eligible for the $150 credit.

I think there are two types of Sony credit card deals right now, one which gives you an instant $150 off, only at SonyStyle.com, and the other (playstation card link) gets you a $150 rebate and works at any Sony authorized dealer, including Dell. So i believe you should be able to use the Dell code AND get the $150 off, depending on which card you use.

fyi..don't mean to make this more complicated than it is, but there alot more (confusing) information about these two deals in this post.

Are you sure about that? I applied for Playstation card from that website and received it today. I called Sony to double check whether the $150 credit will still apply if I purchase from Dell.com and they said it doesn't because that $150 offer only applies to a PS3 purchase on Sony's website.

Dell is listed as a authorized dealer at

http://www.SonyStyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ContentDisplayView?hideHeaderFooter=false&storeId=10151&catalogId=10551&langId=-1&cmsId=authorized_dealers

not retailer?

Is there a list for Authorized Retailers?

I would think Dell will work according to the terms you agree to when you sign up. The only thing is the * Reduced pricing based on purchase of PS3 at the MSRP of $399 but the terms say qualifying purchase of 299. No where in the terms does it say anything about the discount of $150 other then the main image when you apply. There seems like a ton of loopholes for Sony to deny this.

here is the page to sign up for this deal as well http://www.sonyrewards.com/en/gateway/?offerlink=150newps3

the other links specify Sony style in the terms.

For one or more purchases that post to your account within 45 days of account opening, on a single sales receipt at a Sony-authorized dealer with a value of $299 or more (Qualifying Purchase), provided your account is not past due on the purchase date: 0% fixed for the first 12 billing cycles following the purchase date (promotional period). If promotional balance is not paid off by the end of the promotional period, 10.99% variable from qualifying purchase date.b

here is the other one

Yes it was.

The problem is the technicality between "retailer" and "dealer." Sony can very well say that the list on their website of authorized dealers isn't applicable as authorized retailers.

It will apply to an authorized dealer. It will only automatically apply to your account if you buy it on Sony site. Otherwise you have to request a proof of purchase and complete and send back in to get discount for buying on Dell. Should show credit on your account after several weeks.

Where do you request proof of purchase at?

I called Sony Card (Chase answered) and the lady confirmed that with the card I had, that the MIR was valid for purchases at authorized retailers. I asked 'including Dell?' She said, 'Yes, Dell, WalMart..any of those places'.
So..I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

About the Sony card rebates:

There is no one story about whether the $150 requires that you get it at Sony.com.
It depends on the fine print of the offer you signed up with.
Some of them require that you buy it directly from the Sony site.
Others permit purchase from any authorized Sony vendor.

The only way to know for sure is to either:
(a) read the fine print of the offer you signed up under, or
(b) if you have the card, call or email the card provider.

For mine, I emailed Chase customer service thru the credit card website for the account, and got a very clear answer promptly.

THANKS OP! I'm about to order my PS3.

A heads up for anyone who wants to save more money. Buy a Dell Gift card off of eBay with live Cash Back. I just bought a $100 gift card for $75 - $6.00 CashBack = $69.00

So my total cost is $399 - $60 (coupon) - $31 (savings off of eBay) - $150 Credit - $11.92 FW CashBack + $27.62 tax = $173.76

Not a bad deal at all!

And what answer was that?

does it work with cameras?

Man I hope this code is still running when I get home today in the afternoon. Is there a good chance that 20% off will come back?

Just FYI - I ordered a three wii games and tried the coupon. It worked on one of them - took $7.50 off of Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. I don't know if it might work on other games, but worth a shot.

Ordered the PS3 last nite and 15% worked fine. Used the new Sony card I had rush delivered from last week. We'll see if that comes off. Got a notice today that delivery was "delayed" until ship date of 12/24.

We'll see. That and 3% FC. And I was gonna buy the $489 bundle from Costco.

Thanks OP for the coupon!

Where do you submit the form to get the $150 back?

I got in on this deal a while ago, and purchased my PS3 from Amazon last year, when they were doing all the bundle madness. I got my refund back on my Sony card for it. Interesting thing was, I never submitted any paperwork for it either.

Tempting deal on the Xbox 360 Arcade. $170 shipped before tax, DPA, or CashBack. Was $160 a few days ago with the 20% coupon.

OK....I applied for the card 1.5 days ago. I called them and asked them to rush the card. They said they couldn't promise but it showed up today....sweet. I also called Sony rewards 877-718-7669. I provided them my card # and they confirmed that I could use it at Dell and the $150 would apply. It will be credited to my account 2 days after the end of the billing cycle.

Thanks OP. Brings the "PSP - Limited Edition Ratchet and Clank Entertainment Pack" to $170.

Now if the AMEX Dell GCs weren't so restrictive...

Won't stack with items already on sale.

So much for shipping on the 24th... its now shipped and out for delivery! Yea Dell!

Does it matter how much you put on the new credit card to get the rebate? Someone posted earlier about using Dell gift cards towards the purchase. Will this mess up the $150 Cash Back?

Just receive my 360 from Dell. Confirm to be Jasper unit.

Hi all. I applied for and received the Sony credit card. While there is still a good 15% off coupon code at Dell.com, I called Sony to find out if this would cause any problems with the rebate. The rep that I spoke to told me that they look for a system purchased for 399, and that I would not receive the 150 off if I purchased the system using a discount code. I am planning to buy at $399.

Hey all, I signed up for the 150 off at any authorized retailer CC deal. The Sony rep I just spoke to told me that the 150 off applies to systems purchased at an authorized retailed for 399 and that if i used a coupon code at Dell.com, i wouldn't get the rebate.

I wonder about systems that are purchased as a package, such as a game/system package for $449 or something?

Does anyone have the phone number for the Sony customer support that knows the rules?

Hello, new member here. I applied for the Sony card as I am happy to get the $150. I have been looking for a deal on PS3 for a looong time and without this forum, I would not have known about this deal. I did not get instantly approved for that Sony card however. It said I would receive a a written response. That's never happened to me before. Is that normal for someone with an 800+ credit score?

The link I used to apply for the card was: http://www.sonyrewards.com/en/gateway/?offerlink=150newps3

According the fine print at the bottom of the page says:

" *Reduced pricing based on purchase of PS3 at the $399 MSRP for 80GB or $499 MSRP for 160GB. "

BUT I think that this statement is in reference to the price of $249.99

I also called VISA and asked them. The fella read the requirements that were available to him, and he said that we SHOULD be able to go to an authorised retailer and get it for less than $399.99, but that he wasn't entirely sure of this. He transferred me to the Sony Style number, but they were closed. I'm going to call them again tomorrow.
