For those who wants to protect all those expensive toys you've accumulated over the last few weeks. Isobar HTPOWERBAR10 Surge Suppressor Price is reduced to $99.95 (was over $100 yesterday-don't remember exactly how much) plus it has the Paypal instant rebate (coincidentally also $15) and on the Paypal payment screen it says "This transaction is eligible for 15 USD Cash Back on purchases of 75 USD or more.". So if all works out it comes to: 99.95 -15.00 instant Paypal =84.95 what you pay now -15.00 Paypal $15 off $75 =69.95 (less if FW/eBates/Live CB works) Also no taxes and free shipping. |

The $15 arrives by January 31, 2009.
T&C
Receive $15 Cash Back on purchases of $75 or more, excluding tax and shipping ("Offer"). Offer applies to transactions at www.Buy.com when you use PayPal as the payment method. Offer valid on December 19, 2008 and only as long as the Buy.com website indicates that the $15 Cash Back promotion is available. The maximum amount of Cash Back per PayPal account is $30.00. To receive this Offer, you must use a U.S. PayPal account in good standing. The Cash Back will be deposited into your PayPal account by January 31, 2009.
I think he/she means order confirmation. I placed an order about 30 mins ago too and no confirmation email (from Buy.com) and no transaction at paypal so ??? ah well patience. If you didn't sign into your Buy.com account, you will not get the confirmation. I ordered the Lacie external harddrive with PayPal express payment without signing in first. I got a notice later in the day showing that it was shipped by FedEx. That's pretty fast. However, the monitor I ordered yesterday is still being processed. |

This is a PayPal funded promotion. Based on my experience with Buy.com it is not likely they will credit you anything. Buy.com screwed up two orders in all of my orders over the past few years. They made good on both screwups and I got what I ordered. I almost always use the free shipping option and my order arrive within a week...except for two |

The PayPal promotion has now ended That's what OP's link says now. Also, I noticed the $15 savings notation is gone from the Paypal button when viewing an item. |

fwiffo said:I needed a $63 item, so I used one of those 8GB USB drives as a filler (the Sandisk one). Drive is $20 normally, but $15 when paid with Paypal, because it applies item-specific $5 off when paid with Paypal. So, a free USB drive effectively - if the $15 off $75 is not going to conflict with that $5 discount. Anyone sees any language in this offer that clarifies this? No problem. |

Has anyone actually gotten the $15 credit in their PayPal account yet or at least some indication from PayPal that they will? Thanks! |

There is no record of the $15 off that you can see via emailed order confirmation. I asked Buy.com immediately and while waiting for their response the order shipped the next day. Three days later, Buy.com passes the buck and says they had nothing to do with $15 off so go talk to PayPal. I called PayPal customer service and they can see the order was paid via PayPal but have no record of who is suppose to give the $15 off. PayPal claims that maybe Buy.com will give the CashBack. I restated that as far as Buy.com is concerned they have washed their hands off this deal and it is up to PayPal to give me the $15 off from my $120 purchase. PayPal will not give the $15 off and instead..... put a note on my account and that I have to call back one month later to ask for the $15 credit. Slick! Just like a rebate clearing house that will find bogus reasons to deny your claim or let you slide and forget about it. Beware..and be warned. |

While I was checking another transaction in my PayPal account, I noticed a brand new entry this evening: "Dec. 22, 2008 Cash Back From PayPal Completed Details $15.00 USD $15.00 USD" I have not gotten an email from either Buy.com or Paypal, but I think this has to be the $15 credit for my Buy.com purchase on 12/19. |
