I think this is pretty hot for a new 880.

Good find. I am in need of another Harmony 880 remote for the kids gameroom. In for 1! Thanks OP.

Of coarse I didn't need this until after Amazon and Buy.com sold out of the refurbs for $75ish. $25 extra for a NEW vs. Refurb is worth it to me.

Looks like Beach Camera has it for the same price, but still a good find. Beach Camera

From the looks of their About Us Page they are both the same company. Good deal. Thanks!

Eh, not that great of a remote. I have 4 harmony remotes and this is the one I like the least. You can get the cheaper 520 model and it works better than this one. Don't be fooled by the nice color lcd. It detracts from the fact that the remotes buttons all blend together so you can't really use the remote by feel. You almost always have to look at the remote to change channels, etc. One of their worst designs IMO. Pass. Green for OP for good deal though. I bought mine for $250 almost 2 years ago.

For what it's worth, I've found my two refurbs (of other Harmony remotes) to be perfect besides the packaging. Nothing about them seemed "refurbished," and I've had no issues 18+ months later.

mine works pretty well, and you didn't mention the fact that the 880 has a charge/dock station which will save you on many, many batteries.

Ordered one! Thanks!

I have the 880 and we love it. It truly has reduced us from a 4 remote household to a 2 remote household. The extra remote is for my PS3 which is bluetooth and the 880 does not support that. I did buy the aftermarket remote for my PS3 so I can make the Harmony work with it, but have not taken the time to set it up yet.

We tried another Harmony remote a year or so ago and hated it. It did not work well at all with most of our devices. The 880 has worked perfectly and is very easy (although time consuming) to set up.

Ehh if you want the real harmony you need to go with the 890.. otherwise anything in the 650 series is amazing. At this price the 880 might be worth it... But i would keep an eye out for the 890 if it ever goes on sale because of the RF to IR blaster... Logitech harmony remotes can not be beat tho.. my 676 i got 3 years ago for 70 bucks and has yet dissapointed me (except when teh rechargable batteries i have in it go bad, then i die a little on the inside becuase i never have AA batteries)

Which harmony did you try last year or so ago and it didnt work with most of your device. To my knowledge the database for ALL harmony remotes is exactly the same (as long as you hooked it up to your computer and programmed your devices via the harmony software suite). The only "special" one is the 890 which has RF built into it for its IR blasters and i believe some RF devices can be controlled by it.

I use my Harmony 880 with my PS3 using PS3Toothfairy. (IR to Bluetooth converter) It costs a few bucks but I feel it is worth it to have a 1 remote system.

Thats what you get for buying a PS3
Thankfully the Xbox 360 has the IR built right into the machine!!!!!

you know you'd trade your 360 in for a ps3 if you could; even if you had to pay an extra hundred or so.

Only $20 more at Amazon.com if you've never bought anything from buydig.com and worried.

I have been using another 880 and this was me looking for a deal for #2 and will say for the money it is far better at $99 that the 500 or 600 series. One point noted is the Li-ion battery and charging station and the full color screen allows channel icons to be added which are both big pluses for me.

I like the 890 but to me $200+ is too much for a remote. I know it has been as low as $149 but that is few and far between, the average is $225-$250. The 880 is loaded with everything but the RF blaster and I found its not necessary for a normal setup.

I have bought at buydig.com before and never had a problem with them.
