I just used a mailinator account (w/ sogetthis.com domain), worked fine.

hellyea81 said:Just a warning to not so expert users. Many of the drivers it found as "newer" were in fact older than what was installed. I'm not sure why they can't compare version numbers to see what's newer. It simply assumes that it has the newest version, and if your PC's version doesn't match that, it flags it as old. Of the 4 drivers it recommended updating, the wireless broke my wireless card (got it working by rolling back) and it did help me with my HP laptop's remote, so its a mix in the bag.

Which is why you’d have to be crazy (expert or no expert) to ever update any drivers based on their recommendations without first having a complete partition backup. There’s no way I would fully trust their claims. This isn’t something you should approach casually.

I did these downloads including the video driver hoping my computer would re-enable its ability to wake out of sleep mode. As it is now, upon waking it either does nothing or goes near the blue sceen of death or a jagged bunch of lines. The drives work and I can hear the hard-drive clicking, however, nothing. Control, alt, delete brings up nothing and I have to hold the poer botton in to shut down & reboot. IE keeps locking up on me as well... very frustrating. It's Vista, btw. Thank you friends

Check for a virus or spyware.

try to stop it from going in sleep mode if possible. I used to have that issue and just kept it from happening.

How much memory do you have?

Ditto!! Great looking program in its layout and functionality . . . found 18 "out-of-date" drivers, but one of the "recommended" drivers to replace my "old" one (Realtec) I tried to install and found it did not work with Vista!! go figure! I was also hoping to find a driver for my flat bed scanner that Vista didn't recognize (XP did) - but no go.

Some time we get to lazy to look for the correct drivers and learned to live with it. This makes it so much easier and for 3 days is plenty of time to update 3 of my laptops etc...

THANKS OP.

UPDATE: After the first laptop then I logged in my second laptop scanned ok but when clicked to download I got this:
Dear CES User,
In order to re-activate your DriverAgent account for use on additional PCs, please contact:
Ray Lamprey
Driveragent Account Administrator
1-978-552-2432
Ray_Lamprey@phoenix.com

I guess that's the end of free trial.

I run TrendMicro and its current and updated regularly. 1 GB Ram.
Thanx Chocula!

Ehhh, this thing is way out of whack for me.
I got an Intel board and it wants me to install Win XP 32-bit NForce drivers... when I have a 64-bit Vista.
For my eVGA 7800GT it wants to install ECS NVIDIA Windows IDE Drivers (Vista) vs. 181.20
Driver Download
Download from Vendor's Site:
Elitegroup Computer Systems.

Download from DriverAgent:
nforce_Vista.zip

?????? WOW...

Yeah, it was asking me to install x64 bit drivers on my x86 32 bit machine too.. I ignored it, I'm not using DriverAgent ever again.
PCPitstop used to feature this driveragent, but dropped them over a year ago because of the screwups and complaints and crappy customer service. I think spam was involved in PCPitstops decision to drop them as well.

Windows 7 already finds drivers itself just fine.

@ iseeinpics

If these issues started after "updating" your drivers, and you haven't done any other system changes yet, then use Vista to roll back your driver changes.

I was very impressed with it in this regard. Windows 7 even found drivers for my HDTV card. Also new is that it installed beta drivers for my video card. Installed correct printer software also. Looks like quite an inprovement over Vista in this regard.

...the problem started long before the driver updates. that's the only reason i went ahead and tried this offer, in hopes a cure. thank you though Bruce.

From what I read, the drivers for 7 are the same as the drivers for Vista. The reason Vista appeared to have trouble with drivers is that in many cases they apparently didn't exist because MS and the vendors weren't on the same page for whatever reason.
