Get T-mobile T-Zones for 5.99

First I went back to my 1998 old nokia phone for about a week before I called. Then I selected that phone online in my account to make sure it show up. After that I called 611 and initially was denied and I said I have been with them for about 10 yrs now and I am not whole lot internet savvy and need little to browse over.
Then the rep said, let me see what I can do.... 5 mins of silence and it was there.. initially I had asked about the 2.99 then he said its 5.99. I thanked him and after 2 hours, changed my sim to unlocked 3gs and woo hoo..........

Also please do not argue, you have to try couple of times to get that.... this was my 3rd try

Just wanted to share my story...

I just got suppppppper luck!

Back in mid October 2010 I had to call tmobile because I went over my TXT by $80! So I modify my plan to Unlimited TXT.

After some talking I was ABLE to add $9.99 unlimited internet to the rest of my Familyplan. But overall my parents/lil bro don't use that stuff at all. But THEY DON'T even offer that anyMORE $10 internet period! (The only cheap plan is $15 for 200mb.)

Anyways today I called because it seems they double BILLED me $30 internet ontop of my $2.99 TZONES! So I told them I might leave them, so they forward me to Tech2.

Long story short ....Yes they double billed, so they retro both months. BUT the SWEET cream on top was she was ABLE to GIVE the $2.99 tzones! on ALL my family plan lines.

(she even mentions wow, you used 250mb on your iphone--congrats.)

So for everyone that HAS TZONES, and other people on your familyplan wants cheap internet, give that a try too--it is possible. She verified my next month bill--but I'll post success story in 2hrs (if it doesnt work) Grandfathered Plans are very tricky she said.

Thanks for posting this. I was in the same situation. I had "the plan" and my wife did not. I had to call in twice. But the second time, she did it in a minute. No questions, no need for me to explain. All I said was, I am calling to see if my wife can get the same 5.99 plan, and she said, give me a minute and then it is there.

thanks for confirming that they are able to add still. with that said, im on a mission to get this added. this will be the 3rd time calling. three is a charm. sent my wife to do the talking. first, they would not budge. then my wife started to complain left and right. in the end, CSR said let me put you on hold. she came back and added my other two line both with 6.99. i'll know if it'll work in two hours.

whats a web2go plan? when my first few try trying to add the 5.99 tzone, they offered me something that was $10 per month. not sure what it was.

I tired to call them 3 times and none of them willing to try adding it. They told me that the plan is grandfathered and there is no way they can have it added.

must have been same thing that tmobile was trying to offer me when i wanted tzone. i used an old phone when calling that had tzone capability only. now im surprised they wont even give you that. my contract was up like 5 years ago. i think you have a harder battle. dont give up

It's pretty much to same as the tzone that works on some smart phones. Is your contract expiring when you call them? I am in the middle of a 2-yr contract now.
