Nice deal, but this camera is probably due to be replaced *very soon* with a newer model. Might see some more deals like this and/or better value with other options. Lots of stuff being announced for PMA, and some nice alternatives from the competition. I was going to get this one at this price a few months ago, but order got cancelled. Now I'm going to hold out, maybe get something that has the new HD video codecs too.

For a great cheap camera, this is pretty good. Image stabilization and a decent zoom in a pocket size is exactly what I need.

Hm.... I wonder which one is better Canon or Sony... I was so dispointed with SD750(people put pretty good review there, but I didn't like the quality of picture). I was thinking Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T700 (silver), but it was pretty price... lowest I seen was around 250 so far... almost 100 bucks difference here. If anyone owns the Sony one is it worth 100 bucks ish more??? I don't mind touch screen. It was ok for me when I tried at WorstBuy . or I was thinking Canon PowerShot SD790 IS one.. which is about price I think but I am assuming SD1100 IS is better then 790 since it has higher number??? I am not an expert so any little insight would be really great

thanks op in for one. I use canon compare to Sony because it uses SD card.
SD790 and SD770 are similar and way better than the SD1100 way way better: better lenses, more solid, larger CCD for more quality picture, more features like time lapse. check the specs at canon. i believe you can get the SD790 at Dell for ~155, search on that. IMHO, it is worth the extra $.
