My brother has this system and it is awesome! I was just waiting for the best price. I couldn't afford to wait any longer. It was costing me a phone bill every month I waited. I am very fortunate to know for a fact how awesome this system is. For those of you who don't know anyone with this system yet, definately read the reviews!!!
Not sure about the Hannity political remark. I am all about saving money. That's why I am on here. Thought I would share a great deal.

I ordered it from Costco for $219 and it took 2 weeks for delivery. It was up and running after 5 minutes setting. I just connected it my wired rounter and works like a champ. I also order porting number with $40 fee. If this company is still in business in the next 5 months, it will be even. Good bye land line!

If this company continues to survive, even for 5 months, it's a great deal when considering phone costs.
Me? I am piggy backing on my GF's cell phone account @ $15 + my mom =$15 and have a MagicJack. The MJ is definitely sketchy service at best, but it serves our needs!

http://www.Amazon.com/ooma-Phone-System-Monthly-Service/product-... It seems that customer support is worse than bad - as in none! But the one review that got me is that the "unlimited" plan is actually limited to 3,000 minutes per month. That's only about an hour and a half a day - that ain't gonna cut it in my house. Thanks OP for the post, but I'll pass.

From the FAQ on ooma.com:
5. Is there a maximum amount of minutes per month?
Like all other "unlimited services" such as cell phone data plans and other VoIP services, we do have a limit of 3000 minutes per month (for outbound calling) that we can enforce on a case by case basis in the event that a subscriber is clearly abusing the service (i.e. call centers, commercial purposes, etc.). We have never terminated a customer that has used the service for residential purposes.
remember that you will need a 384kbps upstream connection for Ooma to work without problems. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago but I only have RR lite which is only 128kbps upstream. I tested it with my sister for about 20 min. It was fine according to her for first 15 min but the last 5 min was very choppy
i just got the ooma and so far my experience with their customer service has been good. before you are a customer, you can only email them via the form on their website. I did that before I bought the ooma and had questions. i got a response within a day or two I think. after i was satisfied with their responses to my questions, I bought it via costco.com - yes, it's more expensive ($219 + tax) than on Amazon ($199 + no tax), but it's a lot easier to return if it doesn't work well. after I got it, I had some more questions for them and some problems setting up my scout so I called their 800 number. on a saturday morning, the wait til was less than 5 minutes and the rep was helpful. i know there were issues with response time for customer service in the past (as I read on forums) but so far so good for me.
my suggestion if you have concerns about the 3000 minutes not being enough for your family is to contact via their web form and ask them whether the ooma will work in your situation. and if they can alleviate your concerns, give them a shot - buying from costco is an extra insurance policy.
